Nice monument reflecting to the explorations of Gagarin and other cosmonauts. Most of them stayed in the beautiful Hotel Chaika not far from the monument. In Karaganda there is still a landing zone for cosmonauts coming back from ISS. Often there is a new launch...More

Visiting this, and standing under the towering tower with Gagarin bigger than life, I get the feeling that I am being infused with inspiration from that fearless man, who was willing to go where no one knew, opening up a world of space knowledge.
