One of the most interesting churches of Kazakhstan. Crowded all the day long and surrounded by a very beautiful garden with roses. Very suggestive the paintings within the building.

The roof was dramatic from a distance and from close up. There was a service on when we visited, so just peeped inside.

First time in a Russian orthodox church for me as a Catholic and It was a beautiful experience to go on a Sunday when mass was on and church full. Women, cover your head with a scarf! Choose some pretty icons in the little shop next door.

We passed this church on the way out of town, and just had to stop to get a closer look.We had visited an unfinished Orthodox Church earlier in the day on Stepnaya Street, so this was an unexpected surprise. Bus # 33 runs past the cathedral, and the terminus is on nearby Mukanov Street. The cathedral took nine years to be completed, between 1991-2000. The interior paintings were not completed until 2008, and were done by a local painter. Services are held daily at 8am and 4pm.
We walked through the arched pedestrian gate, which was topped by a silver onion dome and cross. The garden had beautiful flowers, and we took quite a few photos here. The church has a very basic shape, which was not attractive. The blue steeple shaped roof at the front was topped by a gold dome, and there were four other gold domes on the lower roof level. We thought that the shiny domes were the most attractive part of the architecture. We didn't enter the church as a service was in progress.
A short walk to the left of the church, will lead to two beautiful copper bells and a small canteen. The nearest attractions are approximately 3 km away, and include Victory Park, Flagstaff and the Roman Catholic Church..

We saw the Vvedenskiy Cathedral in Karaganda from a ways away and the steeple attracted us to check it out. The building is lovely and there was a crowd out front, possibly a service had just gotten out but we were permitted to go inside where we said a quick prayer and made a donation to the poor box. Very beautiful cathedral and worth it to help your soul.
