nice walk along the trail to see different types of plants and trees with different species and breeds unlike the others in the typical gardens in japan.

This garden was rather spacious, much bigger than I thought. It consisted of many sections, with different themes. We followed the recommended walking signs to cover the garden in about 1 hour. Though there were not many flowers, the general landscape was beautiful and serene. Nice to leisurely stroll and enjoyed the garden. Entrance fee is 800 yen per adult.... More

It is a private garden planting all sorts of flowers for the seasons. There is also Japanese style garden. The area is vast and you can easily spend more than a hour there. The trees, lakes and waterfalls make it a good place for photography.

THis is a the go to garden if you want to learn about how to plant confirers to best effect. Including a typical Japanese pond setting, there is even a Tyrollean chalet! I found the visit very educational and certainly opened my eyes to the possibilities of conifer planting in a modern context as well as traditional.

This is a beautiful place to visit, I really enjoyed the Japanese Gradens, my only regret is that we did not see any squirrels though there were a few eldely folk enjoying the gardens too. The next time I am in Obihiro I would like to see the entire garden, it would probably take about 2-3 hours.

Spent a peaceful hour rambling around the grounds, not a single person in sight, just a few squirrels.

Beautiful specimen tree garden with some pavilions built for visits by the imperial family in the 1920s/1930s.
