I imagine the temple will be far away and turned out to be only 5 minutes away by a boat. The island itself is... More

I was here with family, took access from Sungai Batang dh. PT Intirub, cross the river boat and it took 5 minutes only. The problem was cause by low tide of the river so a bit difficult when coming back from this temple.

Near Ampera Bridge, you can rent fast boats to take you down the river the Kemaro Island. The sites along the river with its stilt houses and floating gas stations are great. The pagoda itself is okay, well maintained.

Get a boat (called ketek) and go across the river to visit this magnificent temple. Nice place to take photos and feel one of the historical place in Palembang.

Palembang is a city with sunshine. Should you want to experience traditional boat trip along Musi river, take "ketek". It takes approx. 40 minutes to reach the island. It costs IDR 100.000/person with min, 2 persons you could have the whole boat for you. Try to visit in the afternoon.
