It is a long drive from Seminyak. On the way to this there are nice view from top of the mountain. This lake is truly heaven on earth, the panoramic view, the lake, the temple, the tourist attractions are perfect, being incredibly inspiration and unforgettably memories. I would effeminately recommend a visit to this.

Located in the highlands of Bali, this temple is set against one of the most stunning backdrops in the region. The temperature here is usually cool, making it enjoyable to stroll through the park surrounding the lake. I recommend visiting either early in the morning or during sunset for the best experience.

Firstly, I enjoyed the cooler breeze you get from this park. I guess it is because it's somehow up the hill. It's a good break from the harsh humidity and heat of the Balinese lowlands. Nice and interesting structures and water activities, though I didn't have much time to try them. It is also nice I visited when there aren't many people around so I had a great time taking photos of the temples etc.

Has leaned way to hard into family friendly and is extremely touristy, feels more like a fun park than a temple. With lots of animal statues of the type you would find at a zoo, and not particularly good ones. Probably great for families though.
The water temple itself is pretty but very small and only worth it if the weather is perfectly clear, and only then for that one shot in front of the temple with the lake background (in amongst the hordes of tourists) . Not worth the long drive from Ubud or Canggu. Not to mention it costs a good deal more than the quieter temples.
Weirdly, with all the decorations it feels more like a mini golf course than a temple.
The food venues inside are expensive and not very good. Entry is also a fair bit more expensive than some of the quieter and much nicer temples like Taman Ayun

Admission costs 75,000 rubies, if you want to continue to the lake, animals, boating - then this adds up many times over. The crater lake is beautiful, certainly more beautiful with unobstructed views of the mountains. The location of the temple is also pretty. Around it there is unfortunately a theme park that you should avoid.

The inhabitants of the island usually climb the mountains in the summer and enjoy the milder climate in the mountains, the lake being a destination for activities, as there are temples, restaurants, park and others.
Parking is hell, entrance costs absurd 75000 rupees and is always crowded.
Those who already know countries with lake traditions (Finland, Switzerland, Canada, etc.) really do not need this visit, until the 3 hours of exhausting driving from Ubud.

They turned this spot into a real tourist attraction. Signs, plastic dinosaurs, and animals to have to an instagram moment for a fee. Maybe if you go late in afternoon, you can avoid crowds, otherwise not worth it

The lake main attraction is the floating temple, Ulun Danu Bratan Temple. Cooler air due to its mountainous location.
