Ocean Dreams (ex Macro Bali Dive Center) is open since 2011. Since that time, we have formed more than 2'000 open water students, 50 instructors and 75 Divemasters and handle more than 15'000 certified divers and snorkelers. We, as an Instructor Training Center, aim for quality and best training following the SSI standards. Our main goal is to give you the best diving service of this area in a safe but fun environment.We speak French, English and Bahasa Indonesia

Try ‘close encounters’ you might decide to take a pass on Menjangan

On our final day in Pemuteran I did a dandy little drift dive. Drift diving is kind of like the rich man’s quest to walk in outer space, without the cumbersome gear. I spread my arms and legs out as far as they’d reach, turned my back on where I was going, and watched where I’d just been.

The dive site was called “Close Encounters” and it’s less than a five minute boat ride from shore. Menjangan Island is the spot everyone seems to want to dive when in Pemuteran, but I didn’t like Menjangan as much as the five minutes away dives.

Great and Safe diving experience in Menjangan Island

Very pleasant experience. Place is easy to find and equipment is in a great working condition. What stands out to me is the dive master's attention to our group (Putu). We've come across a few rare dive masters who never looked back and check the group, but Putu wasn't the guy . He made sure we gave an okay response everytime he prompted for an answer and would wait patiently or try to sort out the problem.

Although this is a time of Pandemic , which means the shop is very quiet and not busy at all, they managed to maintain the quality well.

Great Dive shop, excellent service, highly recommended

It was a great experience to dive with Ocean Dreams. Not only that the service was excellent, great communications starting when we plan the trip, prompt reply by pak Renaud and Bu Made, who was very accommodative to out needs, the overall trip and the sites chosen for me was excellent. Great dive masters and no need to bring any equipments on my own.
Highly recommended when you visit Pemuteran.

Icing on the cake was when I found out that during Covid-19, they were training local children to dive and Government hired them to assist the coral planting program. Excellent efforts and definitely will be back there again to dive with Ocean Dreams

Highly Recommended Trip for Scuba Diving

Diving in Menjangan Island is so beautiful! The corals are lit and healthy, it has big numbers of coral fishes, and we also encountered big fishes like a giant napoleon wrasse and a black giant frogfish (I uploaded the pic)! The water feasibility also amazing, you can see as far as you want.

Big thanks to the Ocean Dreams as they've served us with five stars service. They're effective, fast response, friendly, and well experienced.

Amazing dive shop

Me and my partner both came to pemuteran for a diving trip whilst in Bali. When we arrived we hit the local dive shops immediately. After a day of visiting shops it was very clear that ocean dreams made us feel the most welcome. My partner completed her advance and I did my diver stress an rescue. I have dived with many dive centres in Bali but no have been more fun and professional as ocean dreams. The dives sites are incredible with the dive guides knowledge really makes for a incredible time. Looking forward to heading back to dive with you guys again !!!!!

Ocean Dreams scuba diving team is surely the dream team to trust for your dive trip in pemuteran and menjangan island. They go out of their way to service your every need. They opened their shop late at night upon our arrival to help get your gear ready so you get right into the diving in the morning. They cater to special requests for snacks and lunch. Provided very reasonable rates and didn't charge for extras. The guides were wonderful and nice. Definitely a place you will want to keep coming back to. Thumbs way up!

After being messed around by another provider, we went with Ocean Dreams. They were friendly and professional from start to finish. Lunch provided was yummy and ample quantity. The boys on the boat were lots of fun and looked after us well. I would definitely use them again.👍

Wrong foot or wrong place?

I intended to write only recommendations, but here's to MacroDive to improve:

Attracted by the abundance of reviews we took a look at this place. Also we were blessed with a 10% discount card and a recommendation from another dive center.

We were greeted by an arrogant diving staff, who added to our impression with a joke when we inquired about information about diving: 'Well, you found a bakery'. Haha.

Well, first impressions may lead you astray. We talked to them further and found out that they had a special mask which would cover the ears and protect them from water - which would ultimately allow my friend to at least snorkel as she had condition with the ear.

The mask wasn't there at the time, so we came back later to ask if it would be possible to rent it - in case it was to be found. We could have it for free - but only if we dive with them.

I understand the need for making money, which they could have by renting it to us. Forcing us to dive with them didn't make them anymore likeable to us.

Luckily one of the dive shops at the beach are selling ear plugs, so we where free to decide which company we would like to choose for diving and snorkeling.

I would rate our experience one star, the second is for the doubt that they might be better at diving or baking than at customer care and general friendliness.

Dear Jay 1384, If I recall, are you the couple that came here and ask for rooms( in a dive center) and we help you to find a room, even bring your luggage to that place? Then we talked about the problem of your friend that went diving with a cold and break her eardrum (with another dive center), yes we had a mask that will protect her for going snorkeling. The mask was in use since we are the only dive center in Pemuteran that have purchase one. The next day you came for renting the mask. It is completely normal that we keep the mask to serve our guests first, so I told you that if you don’t dive with us, I cannot rent you the mask. By the way, you had already found a cheaper place to dive and snorkel but you needed the mask because they didn’t have one. It is like if you find a cheap place to dive but you don’t like the equipment and you go to another dive center for rent better equipment but still dive with the cheaper place??? We helped you to find a room, bring your luggage there and told you that we have a special mask for your friend, your thanks for that is to find a cheaper place and try to get the mask without using our facility. Perfect Dive Center in Pemuteran
Macro Bali picked us up from our hotel,Taman Sari, at 8:30am, which let us sleep in a little and still get breakfast. They brought us to their dive shop, about 0.5 mi away, had us fill out release forms, and try on equipment. Us Americans don't use the metric system, but they were very helpful with our weight conversions, etc. We headed off to pick up our lunch (included in the price & taken the day before) and to the harbor (less than a ten min. drive) arriving by 8:50am. Since we went during the off season it was just us two, our macrobali dive master, Gede, and our boat captain. It was a 30 min boat ride to Menjangan Island, which was calm seas and good conversation getting to know Gede. We had a quick intro with Gede to make sure we knew the dive plan and hand signals. I've been diving for 11 years and my husband not even 1 year and we both felt very comfortable with the plan diving Pos 1. We got in the water and it was bliss! We had no difficulty with the dive and Gede was an amazing and attentive guide! He pointed out a Pygmy seahorse, lionfishes, pufferfishes, shrimps, crinoids, and so much more! Macro bali definitely pointed out the macrofauna, which is what I hoped for as a Southern California marine invertebrate taxonomist. We had a wonderful lunch on the beach on Menjangan Island. We ordered the fried rice and club sandwich and it hit the spot. We relaxed on the boat after lunch and socialized with other boats for about a half hour then headed to between Cave Point and Pos 2 for our 2nd dive. We saw about the same life a well as a frog fish, and yellowfin tuna! Halfway thru the dive I noticed my GoPro slowly getting a leak, so I got Gede's attention and we slowly ascended and got our boat captain to come to us and dry the GoPro out in our towel. What a lifesaver (there was a hair on the o-ring! It still works and we got all the pictures)! I really enjoyed the rest of the dive as I wasn't trying to snap everything I saw. We got to the boat after a 1 hr second dive and had cold bottled water waiting for us. The ride back was easy and full of sharing stories with Gede. We got to the dock, rinsed off in hot showers, and had the <10 min drive back to the dive shop where we paid with credit card. They were going to drive us back to our hotel but we denied because we preferred to walk and stop off at shops on the way back to Taman Sari. It was a perfect dive excursion for us and we hope others will book Macro Bali Dive Center!

Fantastic Again!!

This was our 3rd visit. Each time we make it longer and longer as we love it so much. Everything about it, starting with Renaud & Made & the team is great, They are so accommodating, friendly, funny, knowledgeable, organized & well prepared to make your dives pure fun. We had great first day with Putu & then we made Kadek (Mr Lempe) work very hard this time as he dove with us twice everyday our entire stay. We made him freeze in Secret Bay too, but he never gave up showing us great things in the water. They just take care of you in every aspect, equipment is checked & there is always a spare just in case, there is always a briefing & all your questions will be answered. They will take care of everything including food and drinks & there will be lots of laughs on the way. We had a great night dive as well with Lempe as a guide & also Christian & Laurent (both instructors) what a entourage!!! We are already thinking about our next visit.Thank you for everything - you just made our vacation fantastic! Ela & Jacek
