Self guided tour taking approximately 45 minutes. I would love to do the ghost tours at night. I have been here twice and it is very interesting. The person taking your money can give you information before you go on your tour to give you...More

I took my Grandson here to take a break from Pokemon hunting on the Independence Square and it was quite a treat. I only paid $9 for both of us and it took us around 45 minutes to complete the self guided tour. Interesting.

It's an interesting place to visit. We enjoyed the ghost tour. They have wagon rides near by and some nice historical homes.

This jail held Frank James and William Quantrill. It is impeccably restored and tells "the other side of the story" regarding Quantrill's Raiders and the beginnings of the James gang. I won't spoil the story but suffice it to say that the actions of Quantrill's...More

Located on Main street next door to the Truman Visitor Center. Built in 1859 and well preserved. Known for Frank James spending a short time here. Tickets are $6 a person. Pictures are allowed.

Self guided tour, didn't take a long time, but gave you a feel for law enforcement of the early years.
