The down-to-earth humbleness of President Truman is reflected in this modest museum. It may not have the pizazz of modern presidential libraries, but it was extremely impressive from an educational standpoint. The exhibits were presented in a straight forward, factual way with photos, letters, memorabilia, and interactive displays, which my young child liked. We enjoyed learning about his personal life, including... More

We arrived at the museum at 11:15, watched a 45 minute documentary, went to lunch and then returned to spend the rest of the day. There is another short 15 minute documentary plus numerous exhibits, the Truman vehicles, replica of the Oval Office and much much more located over two floors. Harry and Bess as well an their daughter and... More

If you enjoy Presidential Libraries, this is a great one. I have been to almost every library and enjoyed this as much as any. You will get to know Mr Truman in a very personal way. Information is presented in a very matter of fact way. Very little grand standing. You will get a great feel for the domestic issues... More

This museum is very informative of the time period that Truman was in public service with interesting personal notes along the way. They two films are well worth the time. They are doing updating construction around the grave sites at this time.

I have visited this museum twice with my family and enjoyed it both times. There is a lot to see, all very fascinating. Enjoyed seeing the old cars and modes of transportation of that era.

I took my mom and daughter to visit the library/museum. It was very interesting to see all the history. The traveling exhibit the day we were there was about Abraham Lincoln - we got to see one of his hats! Seeing everything about Truman's time as president and his gravesite was amazing. My daughter learned a lot. We plan on... More

We understood Truman was very involved & you can tell. He recreated the White House office like he's & speaks in his voice as you enter! The lay out is well done & so much to learn if his challenges & decisions! Like history a must, want your kids to learn a must! Two floors full of things to see... More

This is a great museum, the 5th presidential museum we've visited in the USA. We could only spend a couple of hours, but wished we had at least two more. There is a lot to see and read. All fascinating. A very crucial time in our nation. Unfortunately, the movie everyone has raved about was not working on our visit.... More
