Separate exhibit covering the turbulent years of truman's president, his family and life in Missouri, and his role in creating legislation for all future presidential libraries. We did a very though tour, and spent about 4 hour going through the whole library.

The library and museum have wonderful short videos of Truman's life and presidency. They provided a great deal of insight to the man and the times during which he was president. We totally enjoyed e visit and learned a lot about the end of WWII and Korea which we did not know or remember.

I have been to the Truman Library twice! What impresses me most if the U S Gold Coin Collection and the framed autographed picture of HITLER! Independence is adjacent to Kansas City so you can mix history with sports. I took Ben and Josh on our trip when I attended Missouri Auction School.

We really enjoyed the artifacts and displays of the President that had to decide whether to use the Atomic bomb or not. My dad fought in WWII in the Pacific theater but didn't talk about it much. It is good to know the history in detail of this time in history

This library is one of the better ones I have visited. It gives a great overview of Truman's White House years. Nearby is the home he and Margaret lived in before and after he became president.

This was worth the trip. Finally, a Presidential Library that is really Kid-Friendly. All the displays are interesting and the layout is outstanding. Best of all, it's fully air-conditioned and also has a great gift shop. Even if you aren't a Truman fan, that's ok too. You'll enjoy it!

We went to Kansas City for the weekend and visited the Truman Library on Sunday. It was extremely inspirational. A lot of great exhibits and a fabulous walk back in time. President Truman was a truly inspirational leader----well read, connected with people (both during and after his time in office), and had to make a lot of very hard decisions.... More

The museum displayed a great president. It was well documented and impressive. I enjoyed the quotes and interactive decision theaters. I learned a lot about Harry Truman and how he made similar decisions we face today.
