The beach is big but compared to many other SEA beaches was dirty and overcrowded. I swam in the mornings before the crowds came out but best for beginners learning to surf.

It's not that great, you will find it too many seller's on the beach. I can say they were more than tourist. Also it was not that clean. But we enjoyed sunset at this beach.

The water's fine (but beware the rip/undertow), the temperature is hot, the beer is cold and the food is cheap and pretty good. Just go to any of the many warungs on the beach, plonk down in a chair and chill out with your mates....More

Loved sitting at Ned Kellys in the evenings to watch the sun go down with a few cold drinks. Ned is awesome.

Took a walk along the beach, it was so clean and the water was so clear. There is plenty of seating available just be aware that you will be charged to sit on the beach lounges

This is a good beach for surfing, but swim there only if you are a strong swimmer, as the surf can be quite powerful. Great place to watch the sun going down.

December is monsoon season but it will still be very hot. I travelled over cgristmas and new year and it was hot and it rained randomly. The rain doesnt always last for a long time anyway so you can still enjoy. Have fun
