I had been wanting to try this spa for a while however was turned off by some of the reviews in particular rude staff. I attended this spa 6-7 times and every time was amazing. Staff including receptionist Rosie were very friendly. Welcome drink offered sometimes. Ginger tea always offered at the end and is tasty. I had Putu for most massages and he is the best masseuse I have come across. Can't wait to return next trip :)

Nice massage but not as good as previous years I’ve been to Bali. Perhaps it changed ownership as there was no tea on arrival, didn’t get asked what scent of oil you wanted and you couldn’t make bookings. I even entered one day and no one came to reception so I walked out after a few minutes and went somewhere else. Reception lady was quite rude too unfortunately.

Always consistently fantastic. Beautiful setting and always great. The only shame is that it’s so busy that it’s rare to do walk ins. When you compare to other places where staff are touting for business and this place doesn’t need to, yet is still busy, you know that it’s a good place. Even being the best it is still one of the cheapest...go figure. You usually get what you pay for...but here you don’t pay a lot but you get the best. WOW!!!

Still one of the best places for a massage or treatment. We used to be able to just walk in and get a treatment, but its become so popular that we had to book a day in advance. Some people were booking three or four treatments for several days. Still making the same amazing hibiscus tea to start and the ginger and lemon afterwards. Book early!

The warm stone massage was absolutely lovely! I almost fell asleep. Such a great price and such a relaxing experience. The staff are all lovely. Unfortunately the manicure polish wasn’t the best quality so chipped very easily soon after the manicure. I’d probably skip the manicure next time but would definitely return for the warm stone massage. If you’re interested in going, make sure that you book in advance and bring a deposit. They fill up quickly!

The contrast to all of the other places offering massage on the street is incredible. Tucked away in a quieter spot santai spa offers massages and treatments in a peaceful, comfortable and clean environment. There are no loud voices and there is a little ritual of foot bathing before your massage. I had two massages and a pedicure while I stayed close by. Both massages were great but my second one with male therapist Agus was incredible!
The receptionist was helpful, polite and friendly. I would have no hesitation in recommending this place for a lovely, affordable massage!

I have been to Santai many times over the last several years and all of the spa treatments have been wonderful, except for my last massage a couple of years ago when I was persistently asked for money whilst I was having a massage. This made the experience somewhat unpleasant rather than relaxing and I didn’t return that trip or the next few after. However, I decided to give them another try on my last trip, but unfortunately we were met with a very unfriendly receptionist. When we asked the receptionist for more information on the treatments, she rolled her eyes and repeated what she had already said.

It’s regrettable, that the service has let them down.

The receptionist lady wasn't too friendly, but the two male masseuses were very friendly and professional. Great foot massage and super cheap- 50,000 for 30mins. Would recommend booking for group of 3 or more.

I’ve been visiting Santai for about 12 years and always love it. Unfortunately things seem to have changed. I’m currently in Bali and have been once for a facial and twice for a full body massage.
The lady on the desk (who has been there a long time) was unfriendly and almost rude when booking. My facial was clumsy, rushed and at times, uncomfortable (slapping product on, mask all over eye area, lids etc) definitely not relaxing. Previously I’ve dozed off but this time
I was waiting warily for the next thing to be slapped on my face. My therapist (?mia?meeka?meena?) seemed inexperienced and uninterested.
My second massage was similar (maybe the same therapist). It was uneven (most of time on one leg then rushed the other etc). Generally a bit haphazard. My previous massage with Kadek was amazing so I rebooked with her but got this other therapist. Very disappointed and when I
Mentioned it to receptionist she said sorry then gave me my bill, no explanation of why my therapist changed.
The area where feet are washed is noisy with loud tourists discussing treatments with no attempt by staff to quiet them. My second massage was spent listening to loud people laughing about their impending scrub and discussing amongst themselves what they should have done and when they should come
Back. Obviously they weren’t regular spa goers or they would have spoken quietly!
Overall Im sure they still do a great job at Santai but be aware that things are not as they were.
