Visited market many times. Good market get variety of things. But due to spread in large area finding things what you are looking for is difficult. Beware of some shop keepers as they might try to rip off by selling things in high price.

I've been travelling to Bali with family, finds, solo and for business for 28 years and Legian Street is just terrible. From the old never roads and open sweers (which had to change), Legian Street and gone so much further and now has been developed to just another over developed uninspiring area of Bali - no wonder tourists now prefer... Sales ppl are pushy similar to Puket and Vietnam. Just tell them no unless you are truly interested!

... nobody trying to sell you a tailor-made suit ever three steps. However, you will be stalked by people trying to sell you Viagra, pirated movies, Cialis, marijuana every three steps. Just decide which you need most, a suit in Hong Kong or the alternative in Legian / Kuta. That being said Legian streets are Tourist-Central, but that's why you... More

Once you get over the hasseling, its a great place to find all the typical stuff you buy in Bali. Like all streets, its narrow, but its all fun and so Bali.

Legian is pretty clean. People are friendly. There are lots of stalls for cheap clothes and souvenirs. Lots of cafes, restaurants, street food, pubs etc. Traffic is crazy but that's normal. Everyone smokes which gets very overwhelming when you are trying to enjoy a meal or coffee. We walked everywhere but you can hire scooters or get a taxi at... More

Legian street is a shopping street with many clothing boutiques and various nicknack shops. However be careful of money changers here. Though the signs say 'authorized money changer', they cheat a lot. First they will count the money and will give you. When you count and make sure that amount is correct, they will take money and count again and... More

Everything in Bali I came across was good pleasant, refreshing and sometimes different. But at one section big cheating openly going on is money exchanger cheating. Plenty unauthorized money exchangers which display very high rate than bank but they are big time cheaters. They all use same type of table and same segregation techniques to cheat you. Will try to... More
