    Great place for EVERYTHING !
As far as shopping goes there isn't much you wouldn't find on Garlic Lane! From Bali Kmart to Hollywood Optical to several smaller markets stalls the shopping is amazing! Bali Kmart is fixed price if you don't like haggling along with Ketuts fixed price shop which is the last stall on the right of the laneway when entering Bali Kmart. There are many really good restaurants as well. The Lokal, Garlic Lane, Blue Moon, Roesemary's and Legends Bar just to name a few. I really enjoyed sitting at the Lokal just people watching. Great atmosphere and I found we didn't get hassled too much to buy things.

    shop shop shop
Garlic Lane is famous in Bali, I believe because it is central, easy to get to...but more importantly, becase is sells one of everything, and has a set price shop ot the back "Bali Kmart" where you can brouse without being hasseled, and know what the price is. If you don't have much time to shop during your Bali trip, come here and get eveything you want in one place. Shoppers heaven. The "Lady Boy Show" upstairs from the restaurant is a really great night out too.

    Good fun!
This street is quite short but packs a lot in for sure. It can get quite busy especially late at night but always has a good atmosphere. On it you will find several really good restaurants selling authentic food at reasonable prices. These are in amongst souvenir shops of mixed quality. It isn’t pedestrianised but is still safe as long as you pay attention. There is a motorcycle taxi rank at one end which will whizz you off home for not much money if required.

Love Garlic Lane for shopping. Take a visit to little K Mart -Miss Debs fixed price stores, no need to barter and prices are very good near to Melasti Street on your right hand side not too far from Billy's Bar and Restaurant which serves ice cold Bintang and great fruit juices. The two markets either end of Garlic Lane have a great range of merchandise A good Tailor at the beginning of Garlic Lane on your right from Padma Street also some good jewellery stores. French Leather is good for leather goods and Marleys Shoes are good too. I personally have shopped Garlic Lane for at least 25 years and have made some great friendships with some of the shopkeepers. Take a trip down Garlic Lane.

If you are exhausted from endless bartering for $4 tshirts et al, make your way to Bali Kmart (not a dept store but an open air market), where the prices are fixed to approx what you'd end up paying elsewhere post bargaining. Worth a visit. More time for happy hour cocktails back at the resort! :)

Billys 69 has great cocktails and entertainment. The Lokhal has nice lobster and chilli crab. Beware of the Lady on the corner with a shop selling paintings, she stole my money and told me I hadn't given her enough, yet I found it behind her counter on the floor. When I confronted her she said if I was quiet I could have anything for half the price...

We were told about Miss Debs so hunted down this store, small frontage and a guy took us down the alley to a huge shopping area! Fixed prices and very cheap! Friendly staff and not pushy! You can sit down order a beer or water! Fun experience definitely reccomend!

We visited Ketuts off Garlic Lane as everyone said it was a great place to shop - we were there about 2 seconds and the gentleman was quite exasperated when we said we didn't know exactly what we were looking for, and actually quite rude when we said we were just looking. Way too pushy! Won't go there again or recommend to anyone. Found him to be very patronising.

If you’re tired of haggling for the best price, walk down the Miss Debby Laneway, to find fixed price markets with all the same items, but not the hassle. Set in a beautiful temple, it’s a pleasure to shop here from these very polite and honest traders.

Garlic Lane is one of my favourite places to have a feed, drink a few beers, catch some sports, get a massage and do some casual shopping (see my YouTube), while in Bali.
