This place had some older, positive reviews, but clearly, Charley left a LONG time ago! To access, you make your own path thru the trees. Site is filthy, rundown and a chocolate factory and/or tour does not exist. Zero food sanitation standards followed. When we declined the chocolate tasting, we were told that we would be charged whether we tasted or not - just for entering their property. When we went to leave they started hollering about payment. #scam

Don't go Scam.
A bunch of dilapidated unused buildings from a previous failed business. They make nothing on the premises and try to give a little tasting lesson with product that everyone's hands have been in. When you try to leave they will demand 10,000 rp for admission.
There is no longer a legitimate business at this location

Don't waste your time or money. They charge an entrance fee but no sign is posted. The place is run down. The storage and kitchen areas are dirty and unkept. It looks like it is on its last breath.

Not sign posted and on a dirt track which is somewhat bumpy. Appearance of being very rundown and abandoned. Staff didn't bother to greet us until we were near the "shop" area. I definitely said hello to the owner who walked straight past us and mumbled something. The view is excellent. Everything is very run down and poorly maintained. I was half heartedly offered some chocolate to taste and there were some soaps - but nothing more. Couldn't really see how they run classes - no demonstration was offered. I asked for a coconut juice from the menu only to be told we only do chocolate! Didn't stay more than 15 minutes.

This was the biggest April fool’s joke in August. I am still trying to explain my kids what just happened today and that the factory was probably swallowed by the ocean the night before. All that was left now is some ropes hanging from the trees that look like swings. But I don’t think they were even worth sitting on. I still can’t believe people have reviews about this place that are more then one star. It was an utter disappointment. My wife and I looked at each other and started laughing. The driver of the hired car had a funny smirk on his face as soon as we started driving on the dirt road. This place should not be listed as an attraction.

The chocolate factory was dissapointing at best. Its an amazing location on a beautiful island but access in and out pf the place was aweful - need 4 x 4 almost.... The place was dirty and isnt appealing at all - i wouldnt eat there thats for sure. The staff were disinterested and we felt like we are an inconvenience. Limited toilet facilities and things to do make it not worth the effort.

We were staying in Jasri, so walled along the rocky beach to get here, glad I didn't have to pay the entrance fee for a car.
If you want your instagram moment , by swinging on the swing, then that's all this place is good for. The chocolate was average , too dark and rich for kids. I felt sorry for the goose and the dog . Charly, this place really needs a huge clean and an overhaul

Came here after my boyfriend visited last year, really cool place on the beach where they make chocolate and soap.

The chocolate we tasted was delicious and we bought some goji berry chocolate and coconut syrup which were all very delicious. We had a coffee which again tasted very good. Cute quirky little place would recommend a visit 😀

yes, the buldings are new, and the chocolate tasty, but I didn't enjoy the place itself. I felt like it was another touristic trap.
When we came, the factory was closed, so we didn ´ t see the process. So if you dont want to be dissapointed, try to call there and make sure, that it ´ s working!
The chocolate was quite expensive 50-60 K rupias, so you can easily buy it in Bali Buda and you dont have to go there so far.

There are no signs to the charlys chocolate, so dont be surprised if you dont find it. We had a bit of luck.

Beautiful place by the ocean. Cool arcitecture. Wouldn’t drive extra to get there though, only go if it’s on your way. You can buy dark chokholate to go or have a chocolate to drink there.
