Visiting this beautiful beach during the quiet time is a treat. I had always avoided it because of the crowds. My tip is to take the second, well signed road further along if travelling from the north. This road takes you all the way down to the beach. Instead of the smaller road with many steps down. I parked right near the Fishermen Cafe. This family run cafe is so clean with excellent toilet and shower facilities, delicious food and sun beds. I had fresh mahi mahi beautifully prepared. A real standout. Brothers Ketut and Wayan are experienced operators and the attention to detail shows. Come here and find this cafe. It’s a little further up the beach if you do enter from the stairs. Guaranteed worth it! A note: don’t come here for the wifi. There is none! Take a break from your phone with no service and enjoy this stunning beach and great hospitality.

This beach is amazing. The sand is soft and the water clear blue. The entrance is 10k per person, which is under a dollar. The road to the beach is excellent, with lots of amazing views along the way! Definitely the best beach on mainland Bali we've found so far.

During our stay in Candidasa this was one of things on the top of my to do list. The family arrived and our kids were a pain in the backside. We stayed for an overpriced lunch which was pretty good and left. The beach itself looked amazing and I was disappointed we couldn't stay longer.

We spent a day here. The beach is clean, clear and the water temperature is perfect. There are plenty of local warungs set up on the beach. You can spend the day on the sun loungers, with food and drinks served. Ladies also offer massages for 120,000rp. Overall we really enjoyed our day here. Please note that there are stairs to negotiate to get down to the beach. I would recommend Virgin beach.
