Let me tell you about the best diving school in Amed: Plouf Diving.
A first dive was offered to me by my partner. Jérome, school manager, was my guide.
On the program: a briefing in good humor, pedagogy, kindness as desired, and a sense of humor throughout. So much so that my partner, phobic of large aquatic spaces, ended up diving with us.
A first dive on the Jemeluk site: underwater exercises, learning the different diving signs, fish and corals galore.
Then a second dive on the wreck of the U.S.A.T Liberty, in Tulamben. One of the most beautiful diving sites in the world.
On request, Jérôme, professional aquatic photographer, can take photos of you underwater to immortalize your moments of joy in Indonesia. We are very far from the image of the “tourist factory” that Bali schools generally project. Here you will have a caring instructor who will even offer you a post-dive meal.
I can only recommend to all curious people and enthusiasts to take a moment to come and meet him!

Thank you Jerome for giving me the opportunity to see the wonderful world under the surface.
I was always interested in marine life and after snorkeling a lot I asked myself why not going deeper...so I decided to take a dive certificate.
When I was on Bali I was recommended Plouf that recently opened, due to the very experienced and friendly staff working there.
Jerome, who is the owner of the Plouf, took care of me on a really nice way.
First some theory, then exercises in the pool and then we started diving in the sea.
Particularly the exercises in the pool was great because you can learn basic skills in asafe and controlled environment.
When diving with Jerome you feel you can really trust him. He is patient but demanding in a positive way. No pushing, no "big master" attitude. I felt he was there to teach me and to help me if necessary.
He not only teaches you dive, but he also shows you the marine live you probably missed if no one would point it out; small organisms living on other bigger ones, fishes lying under the sand etc.
We made two dives a day with lunch in between that we eat together, and that was included in the training fee.
After four days and a lot of discussions regarding the theory, that was offered as a online course, I passed the exam and got SSI Open Water certificate in the age of 63! Better late than never.
I can particularly recommend Plouf when you are interested in underwater photography and the marine live.
Thanks again Jerome and the Plouf staff!

I had a chance to do my first initiation dive 3 years ago with him, along with 2 friends.
I since went back and had some family members certified Open Water certified.
Great experience each and every time. I'll of course go back again, and can only recommend it!
I love diving in Tulemben, it's a great spot to spend 2 to 5 days diving.
I can only says good thing about Jerome. Passionate, nice, kind and a great instructor. Do not hesitate to go out for food or a drink after you dives. He has so many stories to tell!
He introduced me to a new hobby. I'm addicted since! (Preparing Dive Master)
Thanks you!

Together with our 3 children we did an introduction dive with Plouf. The instructors spoke English very well and were very good in making everyone at ease. They were patient and friendly. Equipment was good and everything was well organised. Lunch in the restaurant was excellent!

We dove with Kevin, it was a wonderful experience as we dove 3 times a day with lunch included for a good price. Kevin took the time to explain us all details and respond to our all questions (it was our first dive). He was a really cool teacher as he let us explored by ourselves. We saw a turtle she was fat haha ! About safety everything is explained and the material is new!

I had 3 dives on one day, and it was amazing. Jerome is very fun and friendly so you feel welcome from the very first moment. He is an amazing instructor and he makes sure that you will get the full experience off every dive. When I come to Bali again, I'll come back to Amed to have more dives at Plouf Diving and Jerome

Me and my girlfriend did some fun-diving with Plouf two weeks ago. We are both photographers so we had great expectations on diving Amed, and we were not disappointed. Loads of nudibranchs, skeleton shrimps, pigmy seahorses, ladybugs, you name it. Relaxed diving, no hurries to finish. Sympathy and professionalism. Really happy.
