We couldn't wait for the lockdown in Bali to finish so when it finally did we decided to go there for diving again. We were all the more pleased to learn that Amed Scuba - our favourite dive centre in Amed - has survived the pandemic and is operating again.
They still have good equipment and excellent diveguides. Plus, they've had a new office for some time (just at the View Point), which is spacious, comfortable, with a big parking lot in front and their restaurant "Aroma del Mar" above. They also provide accommodation (but we didn't stay there), transportation and sightseeing.
Putu, the manager, is a wonderful, relaxed but well-organised person and all the crew are friendly, helpful and reliable. By the way, if you're a fan of macro photography, you can be sure that Gun will find lots of small creatures for you and he will make every effort to help you take a good photo. And last but not least, they offer reasonable prices.
All in all, we had a great diving holiday with Amed Scuba again. We hope the pandemic won't come back and more tourists will come to Amed soon and bring income to dive centres, hotels and restaurants, almost all of which are already open.

Amed Scuba is a good and professional diving center. I did 6 dives with Cedil. Even though other divers were there to I had the guide to myself and had a great experience, Cedil is a very kind, interesting guide and has a great eye for macro. During the dives he found many creautures to make my trip to Amed worth it. As a dive professional with 5000+ dives I highly recommend diving with Amed Scuba when in Amed!

Massive thanks to the team at Amed Scuba Tauchzentrum. Ni Putu, Roda, Kormang and Wayan (and Christine) treated us like family. Roda is a natural teacher who showed genuine care and kindness while teaching my 10 year old Son his Junior Padi Open Water course. Everything was organised reliably and perfectly for us over 5 days with great food everyday. Also thanks to Kormang who made sure my 7 year old daughter was safe when we were diving. Highly recommend diving with this company. Terima kasih banyak, Sampai Jumpa Lagi. 😀

I had heard great things about diving in Amed but this was my favorite place I dove in all of Indonesia! I did 5 fun dives with dive guide Gun. Amed dive is very big on very small groups, for my dives it was just me and Gun which I loved. He did an amazing job briefing me for dives, finding micros, and taking care of me! The prices are the best around that I could find. The USAT Liberty was the coolest thing ever, but it doesn’t even begin to describe all the gorgeous coral and amazing ocean life we saw! Definitely recommend diving here.

We had a very nice diving experience. We did 3 dives in 1 day at different locations. We saw the USS Ship Wreck, the Coral Garden and we went to Lipah Bay. 3 totally different environments, all super beautiful! Where you enter a shipwreck at one, you will see thousands of colored fish and coral at the other. We were also lucky enough to see 4 sharks! The staff is super nice and helpful, we didn't feel rushed underwater at all! If it didn't work out or it went just a little too fast, the instructor helped where necessary. In between we enjoyed tea/coffee and a delicious Balinese cake. The diving center Amed Scuba is definitely recommended if you are looking for a fun and enjoyable diving experience in Amed!

Very professional dive center, with the possibility to really tailor made your trip with the dives that you want to do. They are even able to arrange dives around the rest of Bali, if you don't want to arrange it yourself.
As an instructor myself, I was impressed with the quality and the friendliness if the staff. We had lunch above the dive center after our dives, the satay Ayam is highly recommended!
I'd definitely get back to this place once I'm back in Bali! Thanks guys!

I was extremely excited to try diving for the first time whilst on my holiday in Bali. After thouroughly researching the best diving reviews on trip advisor and emailing back and forth with a few top ranked I decided on Amed based on the value, great reviews and Christine sounded like a lot of fun.
Before I left for Bali i emailed Christine to confim and heard nothing.
Whn I arrived in Bali over the course of three days I emailed her to confirm and heard nothing.
I then decided to call from my mobile (an expence I did not appreciate) and she answered and apologised for not responding because she was on a diving tour. Now in my opinion if you are the only one responcible for returning inquiries via email i would think that even on a tour you would have access to your emails but whatever she said she swould email me tomorrow and I bit my lip.
So tomorrow came and went. I then thought ok i will give her one last try. I emailed her again to confirm we were still on and guess what??? nothing!!!!
Now I am in Bali and am frantically trying to find another diving school that is reasonably priced and knows what they are doing while I am supposed to be relaxing by my pool.
So thankyou Christine for ruining the one thing that I was so excited to do!

This is a great dive centre. The owner Christine and her staff are the best, full of passion, heart and soul. They made me feel really at home in Amed, always providing great advise, good conversation and hearty laughter! I had 4 amazing dives with her crew, and her dive master Brata is just awesome! I love all these people and they made every day, and every dive special. I have worked at dive shops as a dive master, and know a thing or two about divers and diving and I must say that Amed scuba is a special place. There is often a lot of ego and machismo going on at dive centres, but this place is so laid back and so chill. I cant say enough good things about this place. If you are looking for great dives, good people and a good time in Amed, look for Amed scuba. You will not be disappointed. Thanks Christine, Brata, Putu and Wayan! I will be back for sure!

Seeing the great reviews on TA, I decided to stop in at Amed Scuba.
From the moment I stepped into the dive shop, I knew I liked the owner Christine. She is super friendly, knows her stuff well and is a great person overall. She gave me tons of info on the local dive sites and helped me pick out the best spots. Before going in, I wanted to go back to Tulamben for my 4th wreck dive but she persuaded me to try the Amed spots instead. So I chose the Jemuluk Bay and Pyramids sites for my two dives. Man, I am glad I did.
We got to see tons of big and little fish, a sea turtle, a barracuda, leaf fish, as well as my fave - swimming inside a ball of hundreds of jackfish. Has to be one of the best experiences in my life. Thanks Christine!
Amed Scuba is a small dive shop and this is great as they can give you more personal attention. Christine was able to give me pointers on my diving technique since it was only my 9th dive.
I also went for night dive around Tulamben with them the next day.
Highly recommend diving with Christine if you are in the area!

My wife and I wanted to do some diving while staying in Bali and based on reviews, we decided to go for Amed. We are so happy we chose Amed Scuba as our dive centre. We stayed for 4 days and had the best diving experience imaginable!
From the moment we got in touch with Christine we experienced such high quality service and a personal approach which made us feel very comfortable throughout our time with them. We chose a 10-dive package and only wish we could have done more.
The main thing that makes this team different is the fact that they can offer a personal and flexible service that the big dive centres simply cannot offer. Christine and her team really make the difference. Christine has been living in Amed for a while and she clearly knows her way around. All the recommendations she gave us regarding food were excellent as well as where to rent the cheapest scooters. From the start she made us feel comfortable and discussed with us what dives would be good for our level and we really had the feeling everything was possible and she would go out of her way to accomodate our requests.
Besides Christine, the rest of the team is great too: Putu, Made, Brata and Ketut all form a great team and all go the extra mile to make you feel comfortable and have an unforgetable diving experience. The diving equipment is of the highest quality. You can also rent a very good camera if you want to take pictures (which we did quite a few times) for a very reasonable price.
The dives themselves were all excellent. 28 degrees water temperature, visibility of 25-30 m and one of the best wreckdives in the world (USAT Liberty)... what do you want more!? We saw heaps of beautiful coral and fish (turtles, nudibranches, pygmee seahorses, frogfish, bumpheads, clownfish, pufferfish, lionfish, octopus, cuttlefish, etc.). Our dive master Brata was simply excellent. He always gave us very good briefings, is very safe conscious, has a good sense of humour and was incredibly good in spotting the tiniest fish or nudibranches... The perfect guide you want to be diving with.
We did 5 dives to the USAT Liberty shipwreck and do not regret it at all. The amount of life around the wreck is amazing. Was also cool to go into the cargo room, see the anchor, the cannon, the steering wheel... still in very good shape. We also did our first night dive here which was a unique experience!
So yes, if you want to have an amazing dive experience with the most personal service you can imagine... this is the one you want! You will definitely not regret it.
