Situated next to Gandhi Memorial, it is natural for the visitors to visit this monument also. In fact nothing excepting rows of pictures and a bust of the famous politician is there.

This however is a quiet place and people maintain peace over here.

It is better to read in advance about this great personality to understand and appreciate the efforts of creating this monument

Having heard about the great Kamaraja, I was eager to learn more about his story.
Kamarajar Mandapam was made in loving memory of Mr Kamaraj who was the chief minister of Tamilnadu for 13 years. Who was well known for his simplicity and integrity.
Good place to visit, well maintained, very peaceful. Good place for meditation. Best place to view the triveni sangamam and sea shore. Depiction of life story in the form of photos is very good. Well structured and good environment. It is good for bringing kids to know more about great people.
Entry was free no footwears allowed. Open from 7 am.

Having heard about the great Kamaraja, I was eager to learn more about his story. However, like the Ghandi memorial next to it, this place only offered sparse information on the guy it’s paying homage to. In fact, I learnt more about him while talking to my guides than browsing the building, which was pretty small anyway. There were many pictures of the Kamaraja with various dignitaries lining the walls. Apart from that, the centerpiece was a golden bust of the guy himself. The exhibits may be lacking, but at least there are no touts in here.

One would walk into a memorial of an ex politician of stature expecting memorabilia, souvenirs, medals, papers, documents, life history. What you get here is a collection of photographs on walls. Nothing other than photos to engage a visitor. There is so much more that can be done

This monument located close to the beach is dedicated to veteran Tamil freedom fighter and ex Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu Shri Kamarajar. The monument has a statue of the leader and photographs depicting his life. This attraction is also not generally crowded and maintained quiet decently.

The monument is built to honour Kamaraja who was an eminent freedom fighter, congress president and Tamil Nadu chief minister. His ashes was kept at this location after this death for public viewing and then the memorial erected here to pay tribute to him. This is a green white painted structure. Photographs from life of Kamaraja is kept in the central hall. Important events from his life is covered. You get to learn about this great Tamil leader from this memorial's visit.
