You can get here by bus, will cost about 20 bucks from ransom church.
It was less crowded when we visited,so the darshan was quite smooth .
The have strict dress code for men (shirtless) women -not so much (jeans are allowed )
Do spend time hear and read through the engraving it's quite enlighting .

The place is full of architectural wonders and workmanship. Luckily we took a guide who could explain the details..the musical pillars, the yaali sculpture where you can insert a stick through it years and it will come through the other side..Vigneshwari idol which can only be seen in this temple alone ..Brahma, Siva and Vishnu as single murti..just spend more time when you hit there..

Such a divine temple dedicated to the Trinity of God, Lord Shiva, Lord Vishnu and Lord Brahma. Entrance is free or there's a special Darshan of Rs 250 per person. Dress code: Males must remove their shirt and enter the temple bare chested. Females, saree/half saree/churidhar with upper cloth. Overall, this is a temple not to be missed if you're visiting Nagercoil/Kanyakumari.

We visited the Thanumalayan temple which is also popularly known as the Suchindram temple. The temple opens at 5pm but we arrived at 4. The friendly temple volunteer, aka a tour guide, approach us and started the tour. He walked us though approximately 30 shrines and pointed to the captivating architecture of the music pillars, and even brought to the secret corner where no visitor allowed to come. Priceles experience! (of course, we tipped him and gave a small donations at every shrine we stopped)
Highly recommend!

This temple is huge and awe-inspiring. The temple itself is very old and you can see it in the pillars and the height of the ceiling in the walkways. The doors leading upto each garbagruha are not very tall though. You will see Shiva, Venkateshwara and Brahma and the very beautiful Hanuman.
The Gopuram is beautiful and so is the Tank. I went there in the night. I would strongly advise people to visit in daytime too. You should enjoy the gopuram architecture. I had no time and missed it.
The name Stanu is Siva, Mal is Vishnu and Ayan is Brahma. That is what i am told. There are book shops nearby and you should buy Sthala Purana. I could not. Had to rush out. Do not miss it if you are in the region.

A friend reffered this place and glad we visited. Temple is different from what we usually see. I.e 1) Bhrahma,Vishnu and Shiva in same linga. 2) Navagrahas are carved on the roof 3) Anyaneya statue is of 18 feet with his tail is above his head. Temple is 1000+years old and has good vibe.

Only thing to Avoid is people trying to sell you stuff inside the temple ( Garlands and ghee).

known more as the Suchindram Temple this is a must visit place. There is also a big Hanuman statue of 22 feet inside the temple complex which is made with one solid granite stone. There are 4 musical pillars which emit a different musical note if you tap it. The temple closed by 11 am in morning and ensure you get to see the abhishekham done before that

Very big temple of God with separate sanctum sanctorum for Shiva, vishnu and Brahma. The temple is also famous for huge Anjaneya. The temple is very fast and very well maintained. Thoroughly enjoyable visit. We will get karuppatti nearby , which are very tasty.
