I have visited this place quite an often. It has a very unique architecture and value. It perhaps was a huge memorial when it was built. Now compared to many other memorials, this one is small. It clearly is loosing its importance because people who visit kanyakumari find other attractions more worthwhile than Gandhi memorial. It is pity. Father of... More

On your trip, when you enter into Kanyakumari and move forward to the Beach side, the first building you will face is the ' Gandhi Mandapam ', which has been dedicated in honor and memory of the Father of the Nation ' Mahatma Gandhi '. Further,if you are visiting this place on 2nd October, you will be witnessing a rare spectacle... More

This is a well constructed and meticulous structure where the memories of the Father of our nation rests in the place where the sea is lashing on all three sides at a little distance. A very good view from the top of the memorial. .. worth visiting

It gives you a nostalgic feeling of being at the end of the country. You get a full view of the ocean, the beach and Thiruvalluvar Statue.

A memorial tribute to Mahatma Gandhi contained in a very nice building. Mainly just photo's of Gandhi with various people and dignitaries and a pedestal where his ashes rested. Well worth a visit though for the view of Kanyakumari. Great place to get some photo's.

I visited this place after arriving from vivekanand memorial. There was nothing much . Also the place is not maintained properly and people use it for relaxing. I found many people taking in shade

It is is open between 0700 hrs and 1900 hrs and the visit can be clubbed with the viw of morning sunrise and... More

This review is not only pertaining to Gandhi Memorial but overall all spots in and around it. Vivekanand rock memorial, triveni sangam, Thiruvalluvar statue are all close by. We visited kanyakumari in Nov. The entire place is full of garbage and stinks. There are uncontrolled hawkers. Narrow lanes makes walking difficult. We intended to take the ferry to the rock...
