Located on a big rock about half a kilometer away from the main land in the Bay of Bengal, this memorial is built in the honour of 20th Century social reformer Swami Vivekanand. The memorial is a majestic structure. It has a statue of Swamiji. There is a meditation hall in the complex. Its very peaceful place.

The structure is seated beautifully on a rock in the sea, and is amazing to see. One can get here by ferry, which takes under 5 mins. There is a meditation hall, and also publications about Swami Vivekananda are on sale here. Will take about an hour to cover this place without considering waiting time for your ferry.

Obvious place to visit here. However it can get crowded in the ferry ride and the queue is long . Once there, one can roam around for about half an hour. Good view point and a nice place to take photographs .

All must go, atleast once, & witness the sea breeze & view the lashes of the sea. Its only when both these natural phenomenon are experienced, that one realises how Swamiji might have attained enlightenment.

The memorial is located on a rock in the Indian Ocean which is shown in one of the mandapas. You can visit the memorial from the local ferry which carries>100 people at a time at a reasonable cost for the round trip. The way upto the memorial is enjoyable on the ferry. The memorial is reminiscent of Swami Vivekanand and... More

The rock is very beautiful , many book stalls are there in the rock . The temple is very decorative and inside the temple there is a meditation room which is very peaceful. You have to wait long to get the boat with standard tickets but if you pay extra there is a separate line .

Without visiting this place tour of Kanya kumari is half. Amazing sea view. To reach there u have to take local boats. There is a spacial space for meditation for people at this place. This is the place where Bangal Sea, Indian Ocean and Arebian Sea meet to gather. you can view the different colour water at this place.
