I had to cycle 45kms just to see this church. This is somewhere in a village area however the lushy green view on the way to the churh is worth watching. It is so peaceful as there will be no traffic and no pollution. one must go to the backyard of the church for back waters

The Church also known as "Valiya Palli" is by the side of the Alleppy back waters and... More

This church is fairly new, celebrating it's one year anniversary in April of this year (2016). Certainly a statement to the Catholic faith there, but muct have cost millions.

We stopped off at Champakulam on our houseboat and walked down to the Church. There was a gentleman there selling a flyer for 50 INR telling you about the church. The site has had a church on it for 1589 years and the current church is 300yrs old. It is really beautiful and well worth visiting. Do look up when... More

Peaceful and tranquil visit to this lovely church! The Sunday service was on at the time but we still enjoyed seeing the inside of the church and the grounds.
