Situated at roughly 1 km from Alleppey Railway Station, Alappuzha Beach is vast beach where you can enjoy a beautiful evening and sunset. There lies the remains of a bridge all corroded and rusted which suggests that it used to be a port in its early days.

It's still being improved. There's more quiet areas near the resorts and more public and young ones playing games near the restaurants. Nothing special, but better than it was before (less trash and dogs, although both are still present).

Entry is a building site, then there is a lot of disposed rubbish but not as bad as fort Kochi. The beach by the water is clean, although there is a lot of black layers in the sand, I think it must be a pollutant, as we saw quite a few dead fish being washed up. Shame as this could... More

Allepey Beach is worth a visit at sunset if only to see what an jndian beach looks like. The remains of the old pier are still there, and they make an impressive sight. Clearly this was a beautiful structure in its day. There were lots of families when we visited, just enjoying the beach and eating icecreams and snacks. There... More

This place has the potential to be a great tourist attraction. However, the Tourism Department will have to maintain this beach clean if the tourism traffic has to be increased. People throw food covers and articles here and so the whole beach is dirty. No garbage cans are kept any where.

Alleppy beach is perfect beach to relax. Its clear water gives you a very good feeling.Go on the beach in the early morning and during the evening. Avoid going there in the aftrenoon when sun is overhead, it may cause tanning and sun burns. For photographers this beach offers very nice views, so they can click plenty of photos and... More
