We visited the Niagara Springs and Box Canyon areas of Thousand Springs. Both were very nice. At Box springs as the trail nears the bottom of the canyon there is a lot of poison oak/poison ivy. It is so abundant you will have difficulty avoiding it. Be warned if you are susceptible!

Thousand Springs State Park has 4 separate areas that are developed and worth a visit: Malad Gorge, Ritter Island, Earl M Hardy Box Canyon, and Niagara Springs. The other two that are on the map, Kelton Trail, and Billingsley Creek are not yet developed so offer fishing and hiking only. Each of the locations is listed separately on trip advisor so I am putting my reviews there. It would be too long otherwise.

This is a really beautiful area with lots of history. Don't miss the short walk to see the falls and enjoy wandering the grounds. This area is quite popular in the summer time - we saw lots of families with water toys etc.
