It is a lovely zoo with opportunities to feed various animals. The train ride is included in the price of admission and is fun and provides a closer look at some of the animals in the open areas of the zoo. The snack bar provided a limited menu but not a problem. The food was hot and delicious although a change from our normally healthier diet. French fries were crisp and hot. The hot dog was fat and yummy. Go to the Budgie exhibit for sure. It is a joyful experience as the birds perch on you and explore pockets and nibble on your ears.

My favorite zoo for families. We live 1.5 hrs away from gulf breeze but we have a membership to this zoo because it’s so much better than our local one. It’s very clean and all of the animals are obviously well taken care of. You can pay a small fee for a “feeding bundle” which lets you feed giraffes, birds, and farm animals. We have a 1.5 and 3.5 yo and despite us going multiple times a year, they never tire of this zoo. The cafe is overpriced but we always eat there anyways because we’d much rather put our money towards a great zoo conserving wildlife than a crappy Burger King or McDonald’s. We usually spend 3-4hrs there each visit.

Loved our day here! We purchased the Giraffe Experience and it was well worth it to get so close and learn about them privately. The zoo has lots of unique animals, including many different species of monkeys and owls. The train ride gets you close to orangutans, gorillas, rhinos and hippos. The food wasn’t bad either. Definitely recommend!

Overall, it was a decent visit. We were able to feed the giraffes, goats, and birds for $12 each. That's in addition to the entrance fee. It cost us over $60 for entrance and feeding cups for the 2 of us. I thought this was a bit steep. Feeding the birds was a highlight! In addition, the giraffes were fantastic. I think this zoo is missing quite a few integral members of the "family". Like, snakes, and an entomology section.

Three generations vacationing in (nearby Navarre) looking for beach alternative. The drive from Navarre Beach to the zoo was only 15-20 minutes. The entry/admission experience was smooth and friendly. You can get a feeding (for bird, goats, giraffe) package added for $12. You will notice how clean everything is, as well as how active the animals are. We were there 90 minutes, including the 10 minute train ride. It was a perfect (amount of) time for grandparents and grandchildren. There are a few animal exhibits only visible on the train ride. The zoo staff was friendly and exhibited nice manners.

We enjoyed strolling through the well kept zoo and interacting with friendly staff. But prices were expensive for the size of the zoo. Train ride was included at no extra cost. I like to buy postcards but not in this gift shop where postcards were $2.95 each.

One of the best Zoos I’ve been to in awhile. All the animals were out, and visible. The place was really clean. We actually got to see the birth of a goat while we were there. It takes about 2 1//2 hours to go through, including the free train ride. Don’t miss it if your in the area.

Went to the zoo on our spring break trip - it was fun for the toddler, teens and adults. we spent about 2.5 hrs there, rode the train and saw all the animals. Fun getting to feed them too! We did not experience the restaurant but the restrooms were clean.

This delightful private zoo is a true gem on the panhandle Gulf Coast. Just 50 acres, so it's an easy walk for small children and their grandparents. Well laid out, much of the pathways are shaded, (great in Florida in the summer!) where there isn't a tree canopy, there are many places to duck into the shade for a bit. And, I especially appreciated that even in "normal" times, there were hand sanitizing stations or wash basins EVERYWHERE! The exhibits are ample sized and well maintained. As I said, this is great to make a day of it with parents, grandparents and kids up to 12. For older kids who can't life their faces off their iPhones, they'll probably think it's lame and too small. So if you're looking for an experience to rival the San Diego Zoo, Cincinnati Zoo or a Universal, Six Flags or Disney Theme Park, adjust your expectations accordingly, you won't find it here. You also won't find 100,000 of your new BFF's trying to simultaneously share the experience with you and it won't cost you $600 to get a family of four into the park for the day! There is also a nice train ride (extra fee) and a play area for little kids, too.

This is the best zoo I've been to. Nice size for a few hour visit. The animals are active and there were lots of babies. There are so many opportunities to feed the animals and interact with them. Feeding the birds was magical. I loved the board walk and train ride. It seems like this zoo is really trying to make a pleasant life for the animals they have. The crowd was small so it was a nice break from the craziness of Destin. It is a little pricey, but if that money is what makes for a beautiful zoo and good life for these animal, then it is worth it. It was our favorite activity in a week long stay in the area.
