This was such a great little zoo!! Being from Indianapolis, I am used to a huge zoo, so I wasn't really expecting much. We were all really impressed! Like other reviews have felt, the best part of the Gulf Breeze Zoo is that you can...More

Feeding the llamas, goats, pigs, giraffes and budgies had them smiling and laughing like little kids! The extra cost for the train ride is worth it! We saw more animals up close than we usually see on the safari ride at Animal Kingdom! We spent...More

My husband and I took our two children under age 6 to zoo. We had a blast feeding a giraffe. The zoo is nice, very clean. It offers lots of shade. We especially loved feeding the budgie birds in the aviary. We spent a long...More

Our family took a trip to see the lights at the zoo for Christmas. Outside of the fact you can't see everything which we expected, it was fun and you can tell there was a lot of work that was put into the decorations and...More

Even though this zoo is somewhat smaller than your typical zoo, it was still amazing!! Be sure to take the train ride around to see all the other animals!

Best Emerald Coast Vacation Ever! (0 Replies)
We stayed at the Navarre Beach Regency. The condominium was perfect; 1500 sq ft unit was perfect for our family of five. Neither the beachfront nor the pool was ever crowded. Larger pool than what the kids were accustomed to at other facilities we've rented in the past. We were also close to the fishing pier which was key for my son and I and we had some great catches out there! Only 2 days of junegrass while we were there helped immensely. Doesn't bother me but the wife/kids don't care for...More

Cape San Blas to Pensacola to Florida Caverns State Park?? (1 Replies)
The week of Thanksgiving, we're taking a family trip up to the Panhandle. First two nights we have booked at Old Iron Saltworks in Cape San Blas. After that we want to head to Pensacola for the Naval air museum and then over to the Florida Caverns State Park and possibly Falling Waters State Park & Torreya State Park. We don't have reservations the next two nights as we plan to play it by ear. I'm interested in any suggestions for great casual restaurants, places to stay, and fun family...More

Sounds like fun, we spend Thanksgiving at old Saltworks and Cape San Blas is the only place to gather shells, literally! If you are around Friday absolutely go to Apalachicola for the Christmas celebration. Fun and definitely off the beaten path. Right outside the Fl Caverns Park is a wonderful restaurant-who's name escapes me but is right outside the park entrace. The Zoo is small but worth a visit. Sadly a lot of places in our area (we're in Ft Walton)are hurricane hammered, Seville Quarter...More
