    Fun times!
The zoo was a lot of fun the kids loved it. The staff was amazing! My daughter lost her picture on the train ride and they immediately went looking for it and found it for her. I definitely recommend going here.

    Great zoo
Lots to like about the Gulf Breeze Zoo. Easy to follow maps and organization, variety of animals, nice grounds, not so huge that one has to walk forever. Enjoyed watching a toddler feed lettuce leaves to a giraffe, as well as seeing the rhinos and apes of course. They had a nice boardwalk that looked out over the safari area. Then one could ride in a train around the safari area. Such a nice cool day so most of the animals were out and could see them well.

    Great zoo.
The zoo is well maintained and the animals seem well taken care of. Our favorite part was feeding the animals. From the goats to the giraffes. The Budgies were so fun. The birds landed on us. One climb in my pocket. They made us laugh and feel like little kids.

    Beautiful day at the Zoo
Great day at a really nice zoo. We were there early and the animals were active for feeding and cleaning. Did the hippo encounter and it was fascinating. Would highly recommend a visit. We live in Tennessee and this is our second visit.

    Great Place
We had a great experience here. I would suggest doing something about the line to get in, like more registers. We waited in line for about 20 min. But once we get in, everyone spread out well. it wasn't crowded. The zoo is lovely. We had a great time. There's alot of space and you can tell the animals are well cared for. The train was an added bonus. They offer lettuce for the giraffes, bird food, and animal food for the bigger animals. It was $12 for all 3. I wouldn't worry with the bird food, the birds didn't really eat them but they would still come to you without it. Feeding the giraffes was the best! The get really close to you. My little girl was thrilled. I would get two cups of lettuce instead of one. The entire zoo was very pleasant. lots of seating and shade. a playground for the kids. drink machines around. we'll be back.

    Great small, local zoo!
We live near by and hadn’t visited before, although we drive past the giraffes daily. The zoo is small but clean and well laid out. I’ve fed giraffes at other zoos but this was the coolest set up I think. Even the baby giraffe came over for lettuce. The little train ride was cute and was included. It was kinda pricy for the size of the zoo, but I know animal food is pricey. We will probably buy a zoo membership next time.

    Zoo for my daughter’s birthday
We visited for my daughter’s 11th birthday. We had 2 adults, a child and a 17 year old. We all had an amazing time! The animals were all out and easy to see. I staff was friendly and helpful. The facilities were clean. We did the hippo experience and I don’t think any of us will ever forget it! Our educator was friendly and informative. I want to go back just for the rhino experience.

Gem in the panhandle of Florida
Who knew there is an outstanding zoo in Gulf Breeze. Having frequented the Colorado Springs zoo, top 5 in the U.S., the Gulf Breeze zoo was a wonderful treat for the family. Very clean and well kept. Easy access to all activities and animals. Animal variety is impressive. Animals appeared cared for and comfortable in their environment. The bird cage experience was a big hit for the children. Train ride and playground were also enjoyed. Highly recommend if in the area.

    Great zoo
This is a small zoo but it was perfect for a family visit on vacation. The animals seemed well maintained and every one was over all friendly. My only complaint is the girl working the ticket booth did not seem to want to honor the discounts they give for military and law enforcement.

    Great little zoo
Great family zoo. I wish they would put in a splash pad for kids near playground equipment, I think families would love that! Very hot and humid in the summer. Highly recommend family pass- little over 300 and entry for pass holder and 4 guests. Well worth it when individual ticket prices are expensive- also gets you 10% off food, gift store, animal treats.

My favorite zoo for families. We live 1.5 hrs away from gulf breeze but we have a membership to this zoo because it’s so much better than our local one. It’s very clean and all of the animals are obviously well taken care of. You can pay a small fee for a “feeding bundle” which lets you feed giraffes, birds, and farm animals. We have a 1.5 and 3.5 yo and despite us going multiple times a year, they never tire of this zoo. The cafe is overpriced but we always eat there anyways because we’d much rather put our money towards a great zoo conserving wildlife than a crappy Burger King or McDonald’s. We usually spend 3-4hrs there each visit.

This zoo was a great way to spend a few hours (or more!) enjoying an up close experience with the animals. The animals were all very friendly. My kids enjoyed feeding the ducks and goats but most of all they LOVED the giraffes! The giraffes were very interactive and so gentle and patient. My daughter loved feeding the budgies and would have stayed in the aviary the whole day. It is worth it to get the adventure pass for the train ride. It isn't long but you get to see some of the animlas- like the hippos, rhino family, orangutans & gorrilas that you can't see otherwise. We ended up spending 3 hours there and saw everything. There are plenty of places to enjoy a picnic if you don't want to eat at the cafe. It can be a pricey experience but remember that your dollars are going to the care of the animals as well as conservation efforts. So, get the adventure pass & buy the food bundle, take your time and just enjoy.

We paid $120 for 2 adults and 3 kids, that’s with two giraffe food cups and a goat and sheep food cup. These animal enclosures were terrible. Very little water, nothing stimulating. The tiger was skinny, the giraffes were just in a sandy enclosure. It was honestly sad. I will not be returning there with my family & I really hope they improve the area for the animals. I’m from St Louis, our zoo is free & is 100 times better than this zoo. I DO NOT recommend. Not worth the time or money.

For a small town zoo, this zoo does not disappoint. If your looking for a large zoo with hundreds of animals, large food and drink options, and a place to spend an entire day. This isn’t it. If you want to see some great animals, up close for most, in a very nicely arranged and mostly shaded park this is it.
Animals looked well taken care of, the thing that stands out to me is how many had babies! Not an indication of stress or mistreatment in my book.
Also saw a negative post from someone from St Louis. I am from Houston area where we too have a large zoo, though not free, and St Louis does have a good one. I’ve been. But like ours you will not see the large crowds, having to park many blocks away from zoo, or feel like you have pounded pavement for an entire day! This was a fun well cared for zoo with some great animal interaction.
Giraffes were the best!

This is the best zoo I've been to. Nice size for a few hour visit. The animals are active and there were lots of babies. There are so many opportunities to feed the animals and interact with them. Feeding the birds was magical. I loved the board walk and train ride. It seems like this zoo is really trying to make a pleasant life for the animals they have. The crowd was small so it was a nice break from the craziness of Destin. It is a little pricey, but if that money is what makes for a beautiful zoo and good life for these animal, then it is worth it. It was our favorite activity in a week long stay in the area.

Loved our day here! We purchased the Giraffe Experience and it was well worth it to get so close and learn about them privately. The zoo has lots of unique animals, including many different species of monkeys and owls. The train ride gets you close to orangutans, gorillas, rhinos and hippos. The food wasn’t bad either. Definitely recommend!

We enjoyed strolling through the well kept zoo and interacting with friendly staff. But prices were expensive for the size of the zoo. Train ride was included at no extra cost. I like to buy postcards but not in this gift shop where postcards were $2.95 each.

Excellent Zoo! We loved going through the place. They seem to have other unique types of animals that you just don’t see at every zoo. The different types of monkeys and apes were awesome! Look at the pictures I have. Awesome Place.

Overall, it was a decent visit. We were able to feed the giraffes, goats, and birds for $12 each. That's in addition to the entrance fee. It cost us over $60 for entrance and feeding cups for the 2 of us. I thought this was a bit steep. Feeding the birds was a highlight! In addition, the giraffes were fantastic. I think this zoo is missing quite a few integral members of the "family". Like, snakes, and an entomology section.

This Zoo is amazing for the amount of animals they have in such a small area. The enclosed small bird area was my favorite. there you can feed the birds as they land anywhere on your body (feet, arms hands head). One kept crawling into my coat pocket. This is great for both kids and adults. Feeding the giraffes was next on my favorites list. They are gentle and will eat out of your hands. The small train ride was great for the kids. They have a nice gift shop and several places inside the zoo where you can eat.
