We bought a kilo of large crab for 10$ and had it then stir-fried at one of the stalls. They charge extra for the cooking (2.5$) and if you buy drinks at another stall you can eat there too. Everyone cooperates with everyone. Nice atmosphere...More

If you come to Kep, this place is a must. This is especially true if you are a foodie. There's not that much to see, but you will find a lot of fresh seafood there - crabs, shrimps, squids, octopuses and different kinds of fish....More

I always find this place relaxing, refreshing and easy. Truly a dose of calmness that I need, away from the bustling city and the daily grind of every day work. Been here several times, and I will keep on coming.

We went mid-afternoon and were just disappointed. It was nothing but stalls of touristy tchotkies and fresh seafood sitting in the hot sun (ick). Many of the stalls were also closed up. Perhaps it's different earlier or later in the day...

It’s a market on the ocean front. The difference is to go in the morning and see the boats unload their catch of crab

I love markets but what amazed me about these is the variety of seafood. Dried stingrays so later, grilled whole fish, squid and octopus for lunch or pick your own fresh live crabs for dinner that night. it's a fascinating array of things to look...More

We visited around 9.00am but already most of the crab had been landed. We were able to see the crab traps being unloaded, crabs and fish being sorted and sold. Also within the market vendors were cooking crabs, fish, squid and prawns. The smells were...More

The market is nice location, but there are untidy and the smell is not good. The people throw almost everything into the sea that is ashamed to foreigner tourists. The ministry should take serious action to prohabit market poeple.

After reading so many positive reports I was looking forward to visiting the crab market. I found it highly overrated. By Australian standards this is expensive, second-class seafood. For example, sand crabs are $20+ kilo. These very small crabs would be illegal in Australia. Don't...More
