Teuk Chhou rapids

The construction of a dam by the Chinese above the rapids had seen the flow of water through the rapids deteriorate, but during the wet season a reasonable flow can still be seen.

You have to pay for the privilege to drive down a public road. Don't bother. It's dirty, crowded and noisey. At weekends it's very popular with locals. About half a mile before where you pay the toll. Pull off the road climb down through the trees. Where you can clamber onto so rocks. It's got a number of small falls... More

Nothing here, not worth the trip, mediocre landscape, $2 fee per person. The ticket person will charge you and try not to give you the ticket to keep the money for himself.

Waste of time, fees, and petrol to get there. Nothing to see, nothing to do, nothing happening there at all.

Do not follow the map here. It will lead you to a wrong direction. A very nice place to relax. The water is cool and clear.

I came by accident to these rapids.Went for a ride and ended up there. What I like was the water temperature was so much cooler than the Kampopt River..A very rugged strip with plenty of places to stop and enjoy and go for a swim. Many locals use this area on the weekend.

More like a picnic area for the locals. Along the road to the rapids, i was stopped by a man asking for USD1 as entrance fee (don't think it's actually required) he just sits there collecting a dollar from any foreigner that passes through. Water looks clean enough to swim in, but no rapids due to the dam upriver controlling... More

Must admit, I was confused when the Tuc-Tuc driver dropped us at the side of the road and pointed to some trees. I was expecting a pretty river with some snack places and hammocks to laze around. Instead, we followed a steep muddy path down to some rocks and fast flowing water. Not a building in sight. We started off... More

We have quite a long drive to get here. Visiting on Sunday was awfully crowded with local Cambodian. After such a long drive we've stopped by an elderly man, he asked for entrance fee of $1. The river is still a long drive from the main road. Driving to potholes, dirt road. It wasn't worth to come here on weekend... More

Having to pay $1 to go and see some water flowing over rocks to me is not a tourist attraction. As for the food stalls that are there, typical touristy rip off.
