Captain Chim's is a good alternative to the several party boats that offer river cruises in Kampot. If you want to avoid being on a neon-lit boat with drunk people and loud pop or Khmer techno music, this is your best bet: no lights, no...More

We booked the Sunset tour wand it was incredible. First of all, we had the whole boat for ourselves! The driver was very kind and discrete. Very pleasant and excellent value!

The price was very cheap, you even get a free drink. The boat driver did a lot of effort to show fireflies. For this price, definatly worth it for just cruizin down the river.

Fishing trip did not deliver what was promised. Sign out front said you received a free drink-none was offered. Sign also stated the trip lasted until 1:30-we were back at 12:45. The man at captain chim’s who sold us the tickets said we would be...More

As we got on the rickety boat we were slightly unsure of it next to a fancy boat with bar.. But we ended up being the only two people on the boat! It left at a perfect time as we saw the river in daylight...More

At five dollars - beer, coconut, or other drink included - there's nothing expensive about this cruise. However your same money might go further elsewhere. When we got on the boat, the first to arrive, it looked rickety and uncomfortable. Fortunately the river was very...More

Let's start with the positives. You get a 2 hour sunset cruise including one free beer for $5. That isn't expensive anywhere on Earth these days. Now to the negatives. The mangroves are fairly underwhelming with little besides nipa palms to offer. Backed by a...More

If you literally just want to chug down the river for a few hours in a beautiful setting, you can't go wrong with this! We saw the most beautiful of sunsets and two lots of fireflies, which I can confirm are 100% real even if...More

A nice boat trip, cheap and quiet. I am a bit sceptical about the fireflys. We didn't see any, but then... they finally appeared in exactly two trees. To me it seemed like Christmas lights. But, of course, I can be wrong, but I actually...More

For just $5 you get a drink and a 2-hour cruise, doesn't get much better than that. Sunset was beautiful and we got to see some fireflies too. On the boat you can buy some snacks and drinks too. Great experience! Not too many people...More

You can book at Captain Chim's restaurant, at the top of the Old Market (where there are restaurants and bars and shops).
