My daughter and I did the Flyway zipline today. You make your reservations, pay, and sign your waivers online. Park at the back of the Science Center’s parking lot (near the carousel). Head up to the kiosk and check in, they’ll direct you up onto the large wooden deck to wait for your time slot. There is a bathroom there, if you need it. The staff helps guide you into stepping into the harness and getting you fitted up safely. Their instructions are really clear and they are knowledgeable and very pleasant. They help everyone feel safe as they discuss safety features and give instructions. You get two rides, once each way across the little lake. AND IT IS REALLY FUN. I was vaguely afraid of the impact when braking, but their system is really pretty gentle! I had been bracing for impact and was really surprised how smooth the braking part was. It was A LOT of fun, and I’d easily recommend it. We plan to become regulars! LOL

This is a serious ropes course. It has a few different options, including routes for beginners, intermediates, and experts. The elements are well designed, challenging, and often whimsical (my favorite is a swan-shaped boat/zip line).

Also, the instructors are patient, knowledgeable and helpful. The price is a little high (about $43 - $46), but if you get in a full two hours on the course, it seems worth it. The price also includes admission to the Greensboro science center and zoo, which is a decent attraction, but probably not one I'd go out of my way to visit if not for Skywild.

So much fun!! 2 adults and 9 (50"H) year old daughter went. The staff was great, everything was very organized we felt very safe and it is so cool to climb over the exhibits in the zoo and the crowds of people. The kid couldn't go on all 7 courses because she wasn't big enough to reach between all the apparatuses but she was able to go on the 3 beginners and the first level intermediate (this was a stretch-literally for her) I was able to go through all 7 courses in the 2 hour window. Dress in athletic wear and take a bottle of water. The mild weather made it even better. You have access to the whole place so spend the day it is a great place to explore so many exhibits and play areas for the little ones, half the exhibit paths are in the shade of mature trees, reasonably priced food options. Can't say enough about this place, I actually prefer the GSC to the NC zoo. You won't be disappointed.

Some of our family members have birthdays in July, so we always have a "July Birthdays event". This year, we selected Skywild because we love outdoor activities, and doing fun stuff together. Skywild was GREAT. The guides were excellent, and well trained in safety procedures. The zip-line ride over the lake is super fun, and you travel a significant distance. We highly recommend.

I was pleased with what there was to do at the Science Center. There are several facilities to visit all in one so it can take most of the day to take it all in. The Zoo was designed so that the animals could be seen fairly close up. There were interesting things to do in the myseum and fun activities outdoors. Sky Wild was very fun for instance and at a great value. The Omni Theatre was another great attraction.

Very cool, professional and supportive experience. The staff treated the kids with care, encouraging them and making them feel safe through their skywild journey. I feel like this experience could be a great confidence boost for all ages. (I do wish they would give guardian/parents a map of the course.) It wore them out, But I believe the kiddos will try again in the future.

Sky wild was amazing. The admissions at the Science Center made the trip TERRIBLE. He made the parents, who are only watching our kids, PAY to walk through the facility. His name is Ben. EXTREMELY rude. Sky wild staff told us he should not have made us pay as we were chaperones. Yeah. I know. There really should be a separate entrance for Sky Wild. 78$ for two kids is already aLot, much less paying another 20$ to walk through a facility to watch our kids on the rope course.

On previous visits to Greensboro Science Center which is an amazing place, we noticed the SkyWild course above the zoo. On our next visit to Greensboro we planned to try SkyWild. I'm so glad we did.
After checking in, the staff explained how to don the safety gear and gave a lesson on how to navigate through the course. SkyWild has 7 courses; 2 beginner, 3 intermediate and 2 advanced. Since this was our first time we started with one of the beginner courses. After getting a feel for how to navigate the course we moved to the intermediate courses. We did all three intermediate courses. Staff are located throughout all the courses to give advice and assistance if needed. After finishing the last intermediate course I decided to not go on the advance courses. Many of the courses require a significant amount of upper body strength and by the time we finished four courses I had limited strength left. For reference, I am a 56yr old woman and I went on the course with my 28 and 24yr old sons. Both of my sons went on the first advanced course. They said it was very difficult and did not do the second advanced course. Instead we did the second beginner course.
We had an amazing time! It was so much fun and a great opportunity to challenge ourselves. I have some height issues and really wanted to do this to push myself and prove I could do it. I can't wait to do it again and hopefully try an advanced course!
The staff did an excellent job and I highly recommend doing this adventure!

Skywild was an enjoyable experience for both myself and my granddaughter. There were seven different ropes courses and three levels of difficulty: two beginner, three intermediate, and two advanced. Neither my 11 year old granddaughter nor myself at 69 years had problems with any of the beginner or intermediate courses. We did not attempt either of the advanced courses. The staff was friendly, professional, and vigilant as we attempted each course. The design of the safety harness and course prevents any major injuries. Minor injuries like scratches or bruises might occur if one slips. You are only given a two hour block of time on the courses which is more than enough. We completed each beginner course twice and each intermediate course once. Overall this was a good workout that required agility, balance, and exercised my arm and leg muscles.

Skywild was incredible! The guides are what really set the course apart. They anticipate any problems you'll have with each element before you step off the platform — and if you get stuck (each of those in our party did on the same part of one course) they'll talk you through how to rescue yourself.

I was somewhat worried about my fitness level (I have mom strength but I'm definitely not what you'd call "in shape"). I would say the beginner courses are doable for most, but they all require balance and some require use of upper / lower body strength. Everyone in our party, including my 8 year old, was able to do both beginner courses and two intermediate courses with no issues. Those four courses took up the 2-hour time frame, and we were tired enough (especially after exploring the museum and zoo beforehand) to call it a day.
