About
The Pig Pounder Brewery is named after a beer launched by the Darryl's restaurant chain in 1988. It is a local microbrewery specializing in producing outstanding authentic UK style beers including types like an Extra Special Bitter, an English Dark Mild, and a classic Milk Stout, for local venues. The brewery also features an interactive tasting room, made for connecting with our guests and educating them more about beer.

Wonderful spot on a spring afternoon

I couldn’t be more impressed with this place. I am not from Greensboro but made the trip from Charlotte to visit my son. The staff is extremely welcoming, friendly and knowledgeable. Out of the gate, recommended an outstanding beer for my taste. When I wanted to watch a certain channel on one of their numerous tv’s, they were more than accommodating. Foosball, ping pong and even hatchet throwing - and a food truck with outstanding grub. Great for hanging out with friends and fellow office workers. Check it out if you are ever in the Greensboro area. It is a jewel.

After Work Social
Sep 2018 • Business
My job had an after work gathering on Friday September 28 at Pig Pounder.

The bartenders were kind, friendly, and helpful. I tried several beers and with their guidance found a couple I liked. I highly recommend the Peach Slapped. It’s a lovely sour.

We had a cornhole tournament and enjoyed the food truck out back called Steak Out.

The venue was spacious. The bathroom had cool trendy painting and was well kept. The patio/deck out back has plenty seating with cool lighting.

Small, but nice place.

The taproom is small, and was slightly crowded on a rainy day. The beers are good, and the styles have a good variety. Anyone can find a beer they enjoy. The bartender was extremely helpful in describing the beers and keeping us filled up.

Great Name, Really Great Beer
Oct 2017 • Couples
My wife and I were in Greensboro this weekend for a concert at the colosseum. We had the day to kill, so, it's time to drink some local beers. The name intrigued us, so off we went. What a cool little place. We were there right at noon on a Sunday, so we had the place to ourselves which was perfect. We ran thru two flights of some seriously good beer. The names crack me up. Snout Stout, ESP (P for Pig), but the beer did the talking, their Brown was really good and they had an Elderberry that was dynamite. We're right down the road in Charlotte, but I've never seen it around here. I guess we'll have to go back!

Among the best
Sep 2017 • Couples
We visited the place only shortly, but it was clearly the best small brewery seen during our road trip on the east coast. The personell was very friendly and willing to add some extra character to the experience. The stories make the difference, but nothing to complain on the beer either. The brown ale was very pleasant, but I must also mention the specialities. Often small breweries fail in the experimental beers, and I was very positively suprised by the mystery flight including all the strangest beer tryouts. They were very well balanced to provide something totally different but still drinkable and fun.

Loved it

Lucky enough to make this stop while in NC for a wedding. The name made us curious so stopped in driving to Raleigh. Small place but well done with a great taste room. TVs for sports, board/card games, and nice deck outside for corn hole. Beers were awesome I had three different ones. My friends all enjoyed there's as well. Overall we had a great time and would go back if given the chance

Great Place to grab a beer and hangout
Jun 2017 • Friends
Stopped in while in the area with coworkers and family. They have many beers on tap that they brew. The bartender was helpful and allowed us to taste before getting a full glass. They offer several sitting areas and have games to play. Also offer some popcorn and snacks. Cool place.

Do a flight

Stopped in for a beer. We got two flights of 4 each. Liked all I tried. Really liked the barbieswine, it has a slight bourbon taste. Would be nice if they could have food.

Glad you liked the drinks! Just so you know Burger Warfare delivers here or you can stop by Traveled Farmer and get take out to bring in!
