Nice minor league baseball park in the heart of Greensboro. Good place to see a game and well covered with floodlights. Recommended

Fun for the entire family

If you are looking for an affordable fun event that the entire family can enjoy then I suggest attending a baseball game at Newbridge Bank park. The facility was clean and the staff was very accommodating. If you have never been to a minor league baseball game this is a good venue to do so.

This baseball stadium was built a little over ten years ago, and what an asset it is to this community! It was instigated by the nonprofit Bryan Foundation, and when the deal was finalized the county got a brand new social services/ health facility built about 1,5 miles away on a bigger lot in a better location, for about thirty cents on the dollar. The city got a new world class ballpark, which was leased from the Bryan Foundation (which recouped its investment), and then the ball club purchased the property outright and now owns it, and maintains it beautifully. Talk about a win-win-win for everyone, especially the taxpayers!

The facility reminds me of Wrigley in Chicago, the way it has the urban backdrop; many millions have been spent nearby on attractive hotels, apartments, restaurants, and the like, and a 30+ million dollar Tanger entertainment/music center/ venue will go online in about a year ... wow, will that be attractive.

Recently the club affiliated with the Pirates after years with the Marlins. The dog/ batboys are hilarious, and the food is good. On Monday all beef hotdogs with fixins are a buck, and 16 ounce draft beer is 2 bucks. Service is generally courteous and continues to get more skilled and efficient. Many other items to choose from. A general admission ticket is $7, $5 senior. Attendance at games is routinely in the top 2 or 3 in the state but great seats always available.Parking nearby is often free, or about $5; much of which goes to charity.

Just a wonderful place to watch baseball. You simply must give it a try ... by yourself, with friends, or the whole family ... big fun.

Great Baseball fun with friends

IT had been along time since I went to a minor league baseball game, and I had forgotten how much fun they can be, Tickets are inexpensive, and the games are really well played, even with the home team loses. This little stadium has everything you want, good food, and local beers. This is a great evening fun time for friends and family!

Great Minor League Park

Enjoyed a Grasshoppers game here on a beautiful Saturday evening. The Grasshoppers played well, won, and there was a great fireworks show afterwards. The stadium seats had good views and despite listing a crowd of over 7000 fans there were plenty of seats available. The concession food was typical of most ballparks, nothing special, filling, and a little pricey. Excellent peanuts. Admission to the game was cheap.

fun little oark

Growing up a Pirates fan, i had to take a road trip to see the newest Pirates affiliate - the Greensboro Grasshoppers. i spent the afternoon of cinco de mayo there. The park had a mexican band playing in the entrance, which was fun. The zoo sponsored the day renaming the grasshoppers ‘los ocelotes’ bringing some ocelot objects to the park for children to learn.
The park seating is 3 sided because the entire right field from foul pole onward is an apartment building, however, the scoreboard is along that side so a good use of the space. the rest of the seating is close and the right field line before the foul pole is a grassy area to sit with blankets & kids.
The park has 3 large food booths with the usual ballpark fare (one with all choices of hot dogs) and various carts with food, snacks, and drinks. I chose a cart toward left field serving tacos. The shrimp tacos with a pineapple salsa were delicious and a bargain at 3 for $9. too much for me to finish. A local beer was $5.50, another bargain (Wish the Nats were reading this!)
In left field is a restaurant-bar with many tables to not a pleasant meal and game.
parking was $4 a block away at a church that donates the money to local charities.

5 Irish people who have neve been to a game came away Grasshoppers fans for life. Super friendly and accommodating staff. Premier seats for $11 and close to action plus fireworks at the end.
One Steward with a grey beard ( never got his name) really made us feel welcome and if I lived here I'd be here every game. Go grasshoppers!

There is a pay-for-parking lot on the east side of the stadium. Do not park in neighbors' lots because they will have you towed (during the game an announcement was made for specific cars to move or be towed). The staff is very friendly and helpful. The ballpark is very nice with good sight lines. You can watch the game while standing in concession lines. There is a good team store in the stadium.

If you live in the Greensboro area this is a great downtown sports venue. Low cost parking, affordable food and drink. If you like the game of baseball it doesn't matter that the players are not from the MLB. The baseball is good. Great restaurants and microbreweries await close by after the game. An inexpensive and fub evening!

BTW parking is close by (parking decks). A walk will be involved (short)
