I haven't visited the park in a number of years and was pleased to see how they've upgraded the visitor's center. The videos are great and the museum is excellent. I would have liked to see a little more interpretation done in the park proper.

Nice trails with plenty of monuments to look at. Revolutionary War history exhibits abound and helpful staff at visitor center. A monument to two NC signers of the Declaration of Independence and their gravesites are on the grounds.

Road trip visiting my brother in Raleigh, driving to Boone, stopped here on the return trip. There is a great visitor's center with video and displays, but we walked the trail out and back first (covering Greene's first, second and third lines of battle) first...More

Beautiful, safe place to go solo or with friends and family. Lots of great trails to run or bike as well as the paved road that encircles the park. One can picnic, run/walk their pets (or themselves!), fish, or paddle across the lake. Easy access...More

My wife is a descendant of a NC Militiaman who fought at the battle. We met with the park rangers who were able to verify information from the park archives. Watching the two short movies really helped get an overall understanding of the battle. We...More

Nice self-guided tour of a critical battle in the Revolutionary War. The movie at the visitor's center was engaging and really helped set the stage for the walking tour; I understood what was going on much better since we had already seen the movie. It...More

I would suggest watching the film at the visitor center and then tour the park. It will require some walking but it is a beautiful area and deserves some time to read the plaques and it will bring back what you saw in the film.

National Park within Greensboro offering a combination of walking trails and an option to tour via car. Stop by the visitor center first to view the short video which describes the war from the perspective of a soldier. Small shop with a good selection items....More

This small military park highlights a little-known, but critical Revolutionary War battle which lead to the freedom of the rebels and the defeat of the British at Yorktown. Unlike many military parks which seek to preserve the place as it was during the battle, this...More

Just got your question. Hope this answer isn't too late. I spent about 30 minutes there since I teach US History and the staff was overly accommodating to me. There is a brief film and the outside buildings.
