The two park rangers on duty the day we visited were impressively knowledgeable about the history of the region as well as its flora and fauna. The exhibit in the Visitors Center includes artifacts as well as information about the Revolutionary War and its connection to the region.

We found this Historic Battlefield Park by accident but it turned out to be one of the two highlights of our visit to Greensboro. We suggest you start at the Visitors Center, see the short map overview, and sit through the absolutely well done movie befor you head out onto the walking tour (there is a driving tour as well,... We as a family had a wonderful day at the park. My children were amazed at all of the historic sites. We will be sure to have another wonderful day full of fun and learning about the past on another day.

Great place to go with kids as you can walk all around the battlefield (and drive if you must). Lots of families walking dogs - friendly staff. Good little museum.

I love walking through this park. It is predominantly shaded so great in this heat. We have walked the paths thru woods and the loop on road. It feels like a safe spot for a woman to walk alone as you can be on road and there are generally several walkers.

This park has so much to offer. A great place to walk, run or bike. The paved walkways are nice but my favorite paths to walk is the wooded trails. I love all the different history stops along the way. You can read about it on the history board or you can dial a number on your phone and listen... More

I had not been aware of the battle of Guilford Courthouse during the revolutionary war. It was sort of in Alamo of that time. We had to retreat, but the colonials inflicted so many casualties that they weekend the British army, which surrendered three weeks later at Yorktown. Good displays, and a good walking-driving-bicycling road with various stopping point.
