We came in February, 2018. The museum is totally handicapped accessible. The exhibits we saw were nicely done. I enjoyed the quilts the most. You won't need a huge chunk of your day to see the museum. Go and enjoy.

I just love this place and go about four times a year. I always enjoy the special collections - some can be really out there. Permanent collection is noteworthy, the sculpture garden in the back is perfect. Some great classes and events with the artists.

They were installing a new exhibit downstairs, and so only the 4 galleries upstairs were on view. There was little art I enjoyed, and I really could have zipped through in 10 minutes without feeling I missed anything Free!

The Weatherspoon is a small but lovely museum located right on the UNCG campus. Entrance is free and there's also free parking in an adjacent lot. Apparently, several of the exhibits rotate. When my friend and I visited, everything on display was contemporary. Some of...More

This is a rare gem in Greensboro, and I highly recommend a visit. The staff is friendly, the galleries engaging and the facility easy to walk through. There are a variety of shows, mostly focusing on modern art.

I was really impressed that a city this size has this caliber museum. I loved it! It was the one 'free" day we had post game before returning home and this was a great afternoon activity. Impressive collection, highly recommend as an immersive experience

We weren't sure what we would find here, but for the steep price (it is FREE), we decided to check it out. We were very glad that we did. Several permanent exhibits are on display and there are galleries for visiting exhibits as well. We...More

This is a beautiful, but tiny museum. It claims an owned collection of 6000 pieces - you don't see them at all. We saw a few drawings in main lobby (like 15 maybe? we're great though, loved them, but nothing to replace them into context,...More

A gorgeous carefully edited collection that will surprise you no matter how often you visit. It is carefully tucked away on UNCG campus with ample parking.

My husband and I visited the Weatherspoon while we were spending time in Greensboro with family. What a great little treasure! There were two displays of Matisse drawings that were so wonderful and interesting. The museum has great lighting, is so quiet and pleasant. We...More
