About
Known for its massive annual plantings and bronze sculpture, this 7.5-acre garden is a popular and relaxing retreat. A Wedding Gazebo adds an air of elegance, a man-made re-circulating stream provides texture, movement and sound, and a Sensory Garden engages visitors in an interactive landscape experience. A variety of sculpture placed throughout the garden provides artistic and historic interest. The garden is open year-round from sunrise to sunset. Admission is free.

Stop and sit (or walk) a spell
Aug 2021 • Friends
What a great place to unwind, escape the hustle and bustle for a brief respite! This lovely garden is within walking distance from the O. Henry Hotel. My favorite feature of this garden was the replica gristmill with water wheel, where the plantings were being trimmed back by a caretaker. There are placards throughout the building with historical information, so it’s an educational opportunity as well as aesthetic. Added bonuses within this lovely oasis include clean restrooms near the entrance and benches throughout.

Lovely place for a walk, picnic or quiet place to read.
May 2021
Very nice location for a walk, a relaxing picnic or a quiet place to meditate or enjoy a book. Benches are available in some areas but I suggest bringing your own comfortable chair or a blanket. Annual plantings are nice too.

Lovely garden
Apr 2021 • Couples
This is a lovely garden filled with different types of trees, flowers and art. I loved walking here, they allow dogs on leashes and there is plenty of space to roam around and explore. There is a replica of an old mill on site and it tells some history with information you can read.

Exceptionally beautiful city garden
Apr 2021
This is exceptionally beautiful. Great place to take family photos with magazine-like backgrounds. Walking paths are easy and lovely. Folks are friendly. This is just a great place to take a short walk (about a mile) in the city and unwind in beauty and quiet.

A moment to stretch our legs that was well worth the time!
Mar 2021
Just passing through Greensboro and got out for a stretch. The intent was to go to the Bog Garden at Benjamin Park, but Google maps took us here. It certainly didn't disappoint! My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed walking the beautiful park and were moved by all of the tributes to loved ones. I understand the Bog was across the
street. If we had more time, and realized the mistake earlier, we would have taken in both parks.

This is great to walk around. Gorgeous. Well laid out. Plenty of parking. Off and on street. Make sure you go across the street and do the bog walk.

We visited the Tanger Family Bicentennial Garden this week during the ACC Tournament. Very enjoyable walk and lots of flowers even this early. Sculpture was also nice.
