    Fun but hot and expensive!!
Went to the park on a Sunday in July ‘22. Parked by 9:45 and got a good spot. Walked right in after dropping off the cooler at storage and was able to secure enough chairs with some in the shade for our party of 17. Park got busy very quickly. Long lines for the slides/rides. Tons of people in all of the pools. Lifeguards very whistle happy in the wave pool but I guess the positive to that is they were patrolling well. Lazee River was full of tree garbage. Overall our large group enjoyed the experience. We did have an hour weather delay in the early afternoon but thankfully no storms directly over the park and we were able to stay at our chairs. Rain check was offered as well hand stamped to re-enter if people chose to wait in their cars. Weather delay did cause many people to leave which allowed for more fun in the afternoon with less people. Grown trees produce a lot of shade but forget about seeing the park, it’s hidden…really gotta use the map. Only downfall is no food or drink allowed from outside. We brought coolers and had lunch in designated area. However, we still had to purchase some food and especially drinks to stay hydrated and the cost adds up fast. I wish management would allow some food and drink, perhaps a specific cooler size? Especially with the staffing shortages, the food and drink lines were very long, it would be very courteous to allow patrons some food and drink from the outside. Overall enjoyed it but spent a lot of money!
Hi! Thank you so much for your rating and feedback! We do allow guests to bring in one sealed, unopened bottle of water that they can refill at one of our water stations throughout the park! We're also happy to help identify the best ways to save online prior to your visit! Hope to see you again soon.

    Long long lines on Saturday.
Long long lines. Poorly staffed. It's painfully obvious the management is out of touch with customer service. Family waited over an hour for 30 second slide ride. Maybe during the week days it's less crowded and lines are shorter but weekends may suffer from long lines. The park is old and showing signs of age. If you can obtain discount tickets - decent deal. Don't pay full price. Food and beverage lines were equally as long - typical inflated pricing too. Park was overall clean.

Fun but the same ol experience for decades
This was originally my home water park until I moved to Florida back in 2015. Now coming back here I realized how small of a park it is but it's still a great time! The only reason why I docked one star is due to there main rides ALL being double rider rides. So if your a single rider like I was during this particular trip, you'll miss out on a lot. Also a majority of the rides are the same ones that were there last time I was here back in 2012, crazy lol. They have a new ride that will be opening next year, but that's next year. Either way I had a great time. Enjoy!

    Thank you ARIA!
This is an excellent choice if your looking for something to do while in Greensboro! Our visit was made awesome by ARIA! While I’m sure she meets a lot of challenges each day she does it with a smile. I highly recommend getting a cabana in ADVANCE. . . They typically sell out. She really made our visit great ! Our kids had a great time. Although we didn’t I do recommend getting the meal pass in advance as several people we spoke to said it was a great value. They are a variety of options throughout the part. This is probably one of the few water parks with a DEEP end and my kids loved that part. Even sea world in Orlando didn’t. Again highly recommended if you are visiting the area!

Vomit like smell and maxi pads floating by … and the lines even had lines!
One of the worst days I’ve ever spent, and spend I did! $20 to park and another $20 to rent a locker on top of the steep admission price. The lines for each ride were compounded by the fact that you also had to wait in a separate line just to get a mat or a raft. People were pushing us out of the way to get those. Also spent the first hour just trying to find a vacant seat for my mother to sit in. We got a second chair but then a woman with purple hair walked up and took it. “Hey we are using that!” we said. “Yeah right,” she said, and took it anyway. The leisure pools were full of dirt and a maxi pad actually drifted by my daughter and I in the wave pool. “What’s that, Daddy?” she asked. The area nearby the food court had a strong vomit-like smell and I’ve had better hamburgers in the school cafeteria. Putrid smells, female products steeping in the simmering waters, hidden charges, and pushy unfriendly people doom this place. Even the lines had lines! The best part of the day was when we got in the car and left.

    Money money money
Fun but overpriced. They charge for parking and for locker storage 20 bucks each. They charge 4.50 for a bottle of water. Do yourself a favor buy a slip in slide and save your hard earned money. The owners are money hungry and should be ashamed of the blatant price gouging. Will not return.
Hi, Michael! We apologize for any disappointment that you experienced during your visit. We are always happy to help identify the best ways to save prior to your visit. We do offer a cooler storage area next to the main gate for guests who wish to bring their own food which can be accessed while you are inside the park. We would like to follow up with directly regarding your concerns; please email us at guestservices@emeraldpointe.com and we will be in touch. We hope that you give us another chance in the future!

    Overpriced and disappointing
Water park and slides were great, kids had a wonderful time. However, the raincheck policy is atrocious. We went earlier during July and received rainchecks. We were siked to come back, only to realize the day we were coming back was a Sunday....NOT RECOGNIZED as an acceptable return raincheck day. In fact, NO weekends are allowed return days for rainchecks!!! Management really needs to reconsider their raincheck policy. We could not go any day during the week due to work. Although fun, $50-60 a person is WAY overpriced for what you get at this park. BUYER BEWARE!!!!
Hi there! We apologize for any disappointment that you experienced during your visit! You can always find information about our rain check policy on our website. If you do visit the park on a weekday and receive a rain check, then you can only return on a weekday because of pricing differentials. However, we're always happy to help identify ways to save on your visit. Once again, we apologize for any confusion, and we hope that you'll give us another chance in the future,

    extremely disappointed
Wet and wild emerald point- we arrived around 3, paid, and got tickets, as we were walking away from the ticket booth an announcement was made that the park will be closing due to weather, we went back to the ticket booth only to be told no refunds only rainchecks! WHAT!!! we only just arrived, they should not have taken our money, there needs to be some flexibility in situations like these. We did not even enter the park! I respect the weather policy and understand that if events are disrupted then your only option is a raincheck (which I have gladly accepted in the past), but we did not get to use any part of the facility or services. Times are tough and we are trying to continue living and supporting these types of businesses, even with the steep increase in prices. but it's extremely disappointing to spend $165.00 on tickets, plus gas and parking to be told the park is closed right after you pay. A rain check that has to be used within 2 weeks is useless to us as my friends live in VA (5 hours away) and cannot return that early. We wasted over $200.00. Management needs to reconsider the policy.
Thank you for visiting and the feedback. We are sorry to hear about your experience. We should not have allowed for entry into the park or allowed for the purchase transaction to be completed prior to or during a weather close. This is not our policy and we have addressed our team to ensure this does not happen again. We did email you on the 18th to right our wrong, but we have not heard back from you. Please reach out to us at guestservices@emeraldpointe.com so we can continue the conversation.

    READ!!!!Big Fail!!!
We read the negative reviews but decided to give it a try anyway. What a mistake, all of the negative reviews hit home as soon as we got to the park. We got there around 12pm and the park had to be at capacity already, there was nowhere to park. We got up to the entrance and there was a 20-minute line just to get in. Once inside it was obvious that we would not be doing much more than waiting in line and fighting for space, the park was woefully overcrowded just about shoulder to shoulder. After trying unsuccessfully to rent a locker my wife said she would hold our bag so the kids could at least have fun. We finally got a table by the pizza place and set up shop. The kids and I decided on the lazy river since it was right by our seats, we waited for 30 minutes to get in the river which was riddled with debris. There were some guys throwing a ball back and forth over people's heads and when asked to stop they started making the lazy river a wave pool by jumping up and down on their tubes. After we exited the lazy river, we had to wait 40 minutes for a mat to ride the Riptide Racer, we then had to wait an additional 20 minutes to ride the actual ride which lasted about 15 seconds. After that ride and we noticed that all the rides had extremely long lines and several rides were shut down, including the wave pool. We went and checked in with my wife who was at her wits end after several run in with people trying to take our table and chairs from her. At this point the KIDS suggested we just leave. We agreed with them and made our way out of the park. So 2 and half hours here and we rode the lazy river and one slide all for the low low price of $232. They were still letting people in the park when we exited, and I have to say that I could not understand how one more person could fit in that space it was crazy, and the food and drink lines were absolutely insane 20 inute wait for a drink...... READ all of the negative reviews because they all sum up my experience. I asked my kids if they wanted to give it another try next summer, and they said "NO!!!!!" Waste of money and time and if you want to deal with a bunch of wackos scantily dressed go for it, we will never go back there.

    AWFUL- don’t waist your time
Had a terrible experience! My mom had a hard hit that sent her to the ER. Lifeguards had no idea what they were doing. Wanted to just move on and pretended that the injury wasn’t serious. They had zero crowd control for accidents they don’t move people away they allow them to watch and wonder when the ride will open again. Be prepared for lifeguards to be not thoroughly trained. Water slides and equipment isn’t safe.

I bought a Gold Season Pass that included 2 friend passes and unlimited No Black Out dates. When I got to the park, I was told the free friend passes not valid on July 4th. I had to purchase 2 tickets at the window for kiddos. I am NOT ALRIGHT!! I still can’t find the fine print on my ticket that says Free Friends invalid on July 4th. I was not the only one standing at guest relations with the same complaints.
I’m VERY disappointed. Disappointing. Disappointed.

Very disappointed. Arrived right when park opened and could not find available place to sit. Man in distress at wave pool but park was not shut down and remained open. Wave pool closed the remainder of the day. Bandaids and trash found in pools. Way too many people allowed in the park at one time. Did not feel safe and ended up leaving the park very early. The big white slide with surrounding black slides were closed for “lightning in the area” but remainder of park stayed open. Many safety concerns. Long lines. Food was expensive and not good. We won’t be back.

Do not go on a weekend. They let in more than the park can stand and you will be waiting in line for more than an hour. Weekdays are better, but it's still one of the worst waterparks to go to.

You can't wear goggles or water shoes on the rides. Last year they would just make you take them off and you could put them in your pocket, pants, etc. Now they will make you take them off and either leave them at the top of the ride and come back and get them after the ride OR not ride the ride at all and walk back down. My wife wears special contacts and they are more apt to blow out and get lost. Normally, in most other water parks wearing goggles is not a problem. Most others only ban water shoes on non-raft rides as well. The reasons they give are ridiculous as well - one lifeguard told me it was because goggles could suck your eyeball out. He had no idea why the water shoes were banned other than management just liked to make patrons burn their feet on the hot cement - and it is incredibly hot in some areas where you'll be waiting in line..

Food delivery at a cabana takes about an hour longer than they claim and they run out of a lot of things by afternoon. Pepsi products and they're usually flat.

If you can make the drive to any other water park, that's where you should go.
