This is an awesome place that has beer, food and arcade games! We ate at the Outdoor pizza kitchen, which literally looks like a camper parked at the side of the building. But we were pleasantly suprised to have the best pizza in Greensboro! The crust is a perfect medium thin. It is light and airy with a crisp outer layer and is made in a stone oven. The toppings are all quality and are chopped small for an equal flavor in every bite. One of the best pizzas in the Piedmont Triad that we've had so far and stacks up to some of the best restraunts. The bar selection is awesome with lots of taps from local brews. One of the days there is a special of 4 dollars for every brew they have. Their selection of distills is top notch also. The bartenders are all friendly with great suggestions and service. The porch is a great place to be also an we were able to sit outside with our two dogs to enjoy our beer and pizza. This gave us the best food experience we've had in Greensboro to date.

Awesome place for games and drinks. Oh, and their food is awesome too. The pickle pizza is a must have when you order food. A great place to hangout whether playing games or not. Large bar area, lots of outdoor seating away from the games. My favorite thing that they do is at night, they check ID's at the door with a scanner. It makes me feel comfortable knowing that they are keeping an eye out.

First of all, the games are great. They have just about any classic you could want. A nice blast from the past for me and some fun new memories for my teens. Second, the tap beer selection is amazing. You can definitely find something you like. They also have a huge selection in bottles. They also have a cool make your own mimosa that some with glasses, a carafe of orange juice and a bottle of champagne.
A couple of things to note:
1) It's loud. I'd forgotten how loud a full arcade can be. I actually enjoyed all of the sounds, but it's not a place for a quiet conversation. They have a patio area for that.
2) Limited seating in the arcade. Seating is available on the patio.
3) While you're here, go across the street to the Fainting Goat Distillery. You can thank me later ;-)

I went here with friends, and I couldn't even get though the door. The guy in front scanned my ID and denied me from entering. I just wanted to hang out and play some arcade games. This of course ruined the whole night for my friends who invited me to tag along, because we were forced to leave. This was embarassing for me, and the guy was an extremely inconsiderate jerk. Their staff was rude from what I saw and the establishment is poorly run. Whoever made this new "policy" should be fired and banned for life. If you are not 21 don't even think about going here, you can find many better places to be that will actually let you in the establishment.

Excellent place in Greensboro to enjoy an afternoon of gaming. Plus they have all your favorite beverages. Beautiful patio to relax on if gaming isn’t your thing.

Great pinball. Open to the outdoors. Needs more games & space. No wait staff, so you need to go to the bar for beverage service. I love, love ,love the games. Parking is horrific. We got a space no problem, but waited in line for 10 minutes to pay the automated attendant, which wouldn't take a credit card or make change. BOO

Boxcar is a really fun arcade aimed at adults. The bar is well stocked with good daily deals. The pizza is brick oven and is a hidden gem for food downtown GSO.

Amazing experience- awesome staff!
We had a 7year old birthday party here and the staff were very accommodating - having the access to all the games for kids and drinks for adults was great

Played some games. Had some drinks. Was overall pleased till I went into the rest room. Some of the things people have wrote on the walls. Should be monitored better and covered up. After all this is a place you can bring kids

This was my first time going to the Boxcar Bar and Arcade!! I really felt like it was a Chuck E Cheese, for adults!!! I absolutely loved it. Going back there this weekend to have more fun!!!

Boxcar is a bar above all else, but while we're otherwise strictly 21+, we do allow children who are accompanied by a parent anytime before 9pm daily.

They do not serve food. There are usually good trucks outside. You can look at the website to see which food trucks are there and when. They do have complementary popcorn.
