- Kassandra G1 contributionFirst haunted housefirst haunted house, I got slapped at, hair pulled (by my teenager of course) tripped a lot and well you know the rest. Not a fan of anything scary but we laughed and laughed. Wouldn't do it again tho. To me the darkness not being able to see ahead and the chainsaw were a BIG no.Visited September 2023Traveled with familyWritten October 6, 2023
- LaVista HLondon, Kentucky108 contributionsGreat scare! We visited the haunted house for my birthday. Hands down it was the best experience I’ve ever had. I had been once before in February, but last week seemed to be a lot scarier than last time. I had an absolute blast on my birthday trip! The sensory aspect really made it intense! I will for sure be coming back every time I’m in Gatlinburg!Visited October 2023Traveled with friendsWritten October 14, 2023
- Holly S1 contributionVery spooky with fun twists!I'm a big fan of Haunted Houses and I have to say this one had some really fun and unique parts to it. First of all it's an actual house with multiple floors, which gave it a nice authentic feel. The set decorating and lighting were fantastic and very creative. One of my favorite aspects was the fact that you had to look for the doors in each room, and feel your way in total blackness at times. It was terrifying and soooo cool! I highly recommend it. Not for the faint of heart, though!Visited October 2023Traveled with familyWritten October 20, 2023
- Phillip KnechtHolly Springs, Mississippi4 contributionsGreat Halloween Night Experience! My three boys and I visited Halloween Night. It was a really cool, scary experience! The wait wasn't very long, and the actors and props were very good. What makes this haunted house better than most is the fact this appears to be an actual house- it certainly felt that way with the main foyer and multiple stories and all that. We all agreed this was the highlight of our Halloween trip to Gatlinburg!Visited October 2023Traveled with familyWritten November 7, 2023

- Paul T1 contributionIt was good enough for me.We went through twice. I went through first with my 15-year-old son. The atmosphere alone is worth the 25 bucks (each). I mean, damn it was creepy. Whoever designed this was reeking with talent. After the 3rd room or so, I decided to position myself in the rear because I don't react to jump scares. I think it was unfair to the staff who worked awful hard to scare me. Sorry, not your fault. You almost got me... once. And yes, the tiny girl did say something to me one time for not keeping up with the group but she wasn't rude about it. I was preoccupied with the decor. She just sounded frustrated that she failed to get me. As we were leaving a young couple was debating whether to go in or not. His wife was scared (but loved horror). He finally convinced her to go in if we went in with them. He offered to pay for me and my son to go through again. Ok, not going to pass on that. Yeah, I'm saying it was good enough to go through twice in a row. The second time through was even better. This time we had a party of six and I got to LMAO several times as she and the other couple were very susceptible to jump scares.Visited March 2024Traveled with familyWritten March 27, 2024
- Saraike21 contributionsGreat experienceGreat experience! A lot of jump scares and surprises around every corner. We are family of four with kids age 13 and 10 and they had a fantastic time! The actors took time after and came out so we could get pictures when we were finished! The attraction was off the beaten path, but definitely worth the time and money!Visited June 2024Traveled with familyWritten June 25, 2024

We always stay next door at the Edgewater Inn. This little haunted house is just down the stairs. During the summer they cut back on the amount of actors I think. During the month of October they add more rooms and more actors. Pretty good scare!!

We stopped by in the middle of the afternoon with family and friends (adults). We all like haunted houses and ghost tours so we stopped in to check it out. Old school haunted house did not disappoint. Scary but not grisly. It was the best value for the entertainment we had during the week in G’burg. Go for it!

Scary fun! I wouldn’t recommend for young ones, unless they’re okay with people jumping out at them and screaming. No one touches you. There are a few places, where it’s completely dark and you feel along the wall, but not for long stretches. Our group had 2 forty somethings and 3 twenty somethings and we all enjoyed it!

After reading a negative review “Birthday Bummer” about not opening until 2, even though the listed hours say they open at noon, I called and the recording said the early spring season hours open at 12:00. As it is March I figured we were in spring, why else would the recording reference spring hours? Welp, according to the unapologetic man posted on the front steps, they “probably won’t open until 2”. When I mentioned the recording and spring hours he said they were still on winter hours and haven’t changed the recording yet. I’m guessing he means the recording from last spring???? They obviously expect to turn people away, why else have the guy posted on the steps...you would think it would be easier to just update your hours. As the other reviewer mentioned parking is sparse and expensive and yes we did pay $10 to park which I mentioned to the man posted outside, to which he just shrugged. And yes this was something my daughter had been looking forward to for her 8th birthday so apart from the frustration of paying for parking we didn’t need because of their poor business practices, my daughter was extremely disappointed not to be able to go to this attraction.

When we arrived the ticket price was $10 more than listed on the website. I ask about it and was told that it was because of the "special event" for the Christmas holiday. A week after Christmas and they are still charging for that. Ehh. but okay. So we go in and in the first room a disagreeable little goblin breaks character to get on me about not wearing a mask. I noticed under his goblin mask he was not wearing one either. I told him sorry and that I forgot it outside in my coat. He just started a me. Upon entry we were told the rules. Wearing a mask was not among the but not backtracking was. Not to mention the host should have said something before admitting us. The little goblin didn't give me any options so I moved on. Throughout the rest of my party's "TOUR" we saw a total of 2 different actors and all they did was pop open the doors and essentially lead us through. Me and several others in our party got the distinct impression that they were just trying to hurry us up and get us out of there because I forgot my mask. that was roughly $400 of the crappiest Haunted house experiences I have ever had.

Once in we waited 10 minutes in the family room for others to join our group of 2. Four other people came in and we waited another 5 minutes before the voice told us we could enter. There was a total of 2 actors in the house. The first person in the group got the only scares. Once we went in the whole thing only lasted 10 minutes. For the price I would not recommend.

So all in al, my husband really enjoyed the mansion. Great actors, good scares, he came out happy.
That said, we stayed next door to the mansion and my 11 year old son and 8 year old daughter kept seeing it and eating to go in. I was worried it was too scary for her, so we spent some time reading reviews together, and perusing the website. I had a feeling my 8 year old would back out once we got to the door, and I was right, and that was fine, we didn’t mind and I stayed out.
My 11 year old son is autistic, but most people can’t tell. He LOVES jump scares, haunted trails and hayrides and gore. This was right up his alley. He got thru the turnstile and into the first room and something caused him to panic in a way I have never seen, despite my husband being there. He ran back out the entrance door bawling. (This kid rarely cries, like once or twice a year, so I was alarmed)
The young woman who was selling tickets just in front of the turnstile kept telling him he had to go back in. First just talking, then yelling. He kept crying and telling her no, and she told him he HAD to and that he could not come out the entrance (though physically, he totally could have).
I was right there trying to calm him and explain that dad was on the other side of the door and could take him out the emergency exit (they have several around the building). He was fully panicked and not hearing anything. She had a family of 3 at the ticket window and they were not deterred by him, but this woman chose to scream at my child to shut up, even though I was right there trying to calm and direct him since she wouldn’t allow him to come out to me, 5 feet away, which, rules are rules and I understand.
I told her “ma’am, he’s autistic, please let me handle him” and she shut up immediately. The family right there were very kind and understanding and I directed my son to come out the entrance anyway, because I did not want to further disturb this family.
I got him outside and calmed him and he wouldn’t talk. Later on I found out he wasn’t scared, he had an anxiety attack, which has only happened once before in his life.
I think she knew she messed up because she kept coming out offering “no scare tours” and wristbands to him and his sister. He didn’t want to go back in. When he was able to tell me why he wouldn’t go back, despite wanting to “be scared” he told me that she made him feel bad and he was scared if he had another problem, she would yell at him again.
So, all that said, parents- make sure you read all the reviews, surf their website with your kids and talk about what they will see- in the end it saved us money when my daughter decided not to go in before we got to the door. Talk to you older pre-teens in detail AFTER the ticketing and safety briefing and make sure they completely understand how to get out, no matter the reason.
We have no issue with losing the money on his ticket, only with the way she yelled at a child that was already being handled by their parent. Autistic or not, don’t yell at kids, deal with their parents.

Whist this a fun attraction, going during October I expected it to be extremely fun, especially since they upcharge the entrance fee for “Halloween season”. But to my disappointment after paying the upcharge and being told there were “extra” actors, there were hardly any actors that personally scared my group. Maybe 6 total. So just slightly disappointed, but still alright.

This haunted house was full of twist and turns in a older unique home. Running into dead ends and having to find the secret exit was the best. There was one room with an awful smell...I think it was intentional. It was $15 and lasted about 15 minutes.

I've had a few people recommend this as a good haunted attraction to experience! I however, was very disappointed. I understand that waiting in lines is a given but 2 hours in line to finally make it to purchase tickets. The person selling tickets was very rude and rushed us along instead of trying to help by answering just a few questions. If that weren't enough the "actors" seemed very aggravated as they rushed us through which ended up only being maybe a 10 minute experience. I am very familiar with working with the public and I do understand that sometimes things just happen. For the amount of money we paid plus the long wait in line just to be disrespected and made to feel like a "problem" to the staff... I am very disappointed and hope the issue can be fixed for future paying customers experiences.

Is this appropriate for kids ages 5 and 8? They love spooky stuff and get a kick out of all the Halloween store displays but have never been to a haunted house.

It might be a little scary for them, but if they love scary stuff, they will have a good time. Have them hold tight to their parents and they will survive. lol

I paid 15 bucks to get in, and I felt it was worth it because it took us at least 20 minutes to get out of there. It is not a regular walk through haunted house attraction. It is an Escape Room experience in a Haunted House. You need to figure out how to get out of each room....good luck!
Written December 26, 2018
No, its a dark haunted house with loud noises and lights, not to mention scary actors in masks. I'm sure any dog would be terrified, especially a small one.

Do you record everyone and sell a cd? We went in one once and they did that. I still have to cd. We didn't stay in it long but we still get a huge laugh out of it. My boys are older now and I would love to go through one that records us and watch it for many years.
Written September 19, 2016
I didn't record us myself and I didn't see an option that offered that when we bought the tickets. I would definitely have bought a recording of that because it would have been hilarious!!!
