First of all prepare yourself for a wait in line to get in to this place. The line is long and it will take time as they limit how many people can be up on the course. Maybe have one person stand in line and the rest wait in the car. The parking lot to the right of the place is a paid public lot so be prepared to pay. Bring Cash for that as the card reader didn't work right. There is a small parking lot to the left of the place that is theirs but it only holds a few spots. The course is awesome as you ride a tram up the hill and get to choose which course to play by getting out to the right or the left of the tram. They have bottle water near the end of the course for a $1 and its on the honor system so when your thirsty send someone to get them. The history and layout of the course makes this amazing. When we were done and went down the tram it was raining hard. But we never felt any rain while on the course because the tree coverage blocked it out. After you play the first course they let you come back in within three days to play the second course for 6 instead of 12.

Our family stopped by here on a whim as we had heard good things and were in the area for Gatlinburg. We had no idea that this course went up into the mountains AND you had to climb into a lift cart to be carried 300' up the hill, that was actually super cool. While you are waiting there is a guy who kind of narrates and talks about the ride and is very entertaining and interactive with the customers. Once at the top you have a choice of 2 different 18 hole courses, one to the right, one to the left. You also get a discount on replay rounds if you want to go up and do the other side as well. While it was pricey, it was super fun. All of the holes are super easy and quirky and the place is designed as such that it's really hard to lose your ball, unless you're a total maniac, the area is sealed off really well to prevent it. One more thing, as with everything else in the area, you're in bear country, we didn't see any but apparently there were some bears up there right before we went up. It's very rare to have an incident with a bear but the thought of it kind of added to the excitement. One last thing, parking is available but it costs money, $1 . very cheap and accessible metered parking. We thought that was reasonable given how crowded Gatlinburg is.

My husband and I did this course as we like to play putt putt on vacation. This was unique in that you ride a tram up a mountain and then play on the mountain side. The courses are easy with farm equipment obstacles. After you're finished you take the tram back down. You can have staff sign your card and come back for another round on the other course for $5.99. We enjoyed our time!

The bad during COVID-19 times is masks are not required in line or on tram (there is plastic between each row). During the course you have plenty of space to socially distance. You have to disinfect your club and ball yourself, but the solution looked crazy dirty. Take hand sanitizer and don't touch your face. There's restrooms at the bottom where you can wash your hands afterwards.

Thank you so much for spending part of your visit to beautiful Gatlinburg with us here at Hillbilly Golf. We are pleased that you enjoyed your visit with us and that you took your valuable time to give us such a nice review. Concerning your COVID-19 remarks; We have signs posted at both entrances requesting our guest to practice social distancing and to wear protective masks. The vast majority of guest are happy to comply with this request. However, it should be noted that our attraction is an outside venue and the state mandate is that people attending outside venues are given more leeway as to if they choose to wear masks or not. On our tram, as you have noted, we have placed large plexiglass dividers between the rows and we only put the same groups in each row. We will even send a single family or individual groups up on their own if they request that. The tram along with the railing are wiped down periodically throughout the day and we provide hand sanitizer for our guest. Regarding the sanitation stations we use to disinfect the clubs and golf balls. This solution is a very strong commercial grade disinfectant that is refreshed throughout the day and changed completely daily. The color of the disinfectant concentrate solution along with the blue color of the container are what gave you the incorrect impression that the solution was dirty. I assure you it is as clean as we can make it. Again, thank you for your visit and your valuable input. We look forward to seeing you next year to help us celebrate our 50th year of operation here at Hillbilly Golf.

This mini-golf course is unlike any other. It all begins with a tram ride up the mountain side to begin your game. At the top, you have a choice of 2 very different courses. We went to the right, which is the "steeper" course. It was great, just as it was 23 years ago on our honeymoon. The cost was $12.99 per person and there is a discounted senior rate. For $5.99 you can go back up and play the other course. My family did that, while I opted out. The second course featured a line where the wildfires had reached and some unique "artwork" made by the fire.

Everything was well maintained and the staff was great. Each hole had different farming or hillbilly features and as I said is unlike any other course I've been on. I would highly recommend this attraction. You will enjoy it and you won't forget it.
It was busy, but we didn't have to wait, plus the whole course is in the shade.

This is the most unique AND well kept mini golf course that we’ve been to as a family. We waited in line for an hour, but it was well worth it. You ride a short incline up the mountain, where you can pick from one of 2 golf courses to play (go back within 3 days to play the other at half price). Our family of 4 (1 teen, 1 tween) really enjoyed the unique holes, especially the pool shot plinko option! We all commented on how well maintained the course was. The employees at the entrance and at the top were very friendly. Definitely recommend Hillbilly Golf if mini golf is on your vacation to do list!

Cute lil putt putt golf. You go up the side of the mountain in a little Tram car and golf down. Grandkids loved it (adults too). If we would have had time we would have went back and did the other side. You pick which side you want to do at the top. You can come back with your score card within 3 days and get a discounted rate.

We had an absolute blast at Hillbilly Golf! Not only was it fun, but the guides at the bottom were funny, and unlike other places, they didn't gouge you on the price of things. A bottle of water was $1, golf was $12. We chose the course on the left, and to our surprise, a lot of the obstacles and decor were farming related. This couldn't have been more perfect, as he's a farmer back home, so he really enjoyed that aspect. I thought it was intriguing to see the large hemlock tree roots, and read about the history of the tree. Seeing where the fire stopped in 2016 was also very interesting to me, as I was here just a week before the fires, and again a few months after. We're already planning a return visit to this location. It was just so cool and we had so much fun playing the course.

We loved playing Hillbilly Golf. It is such a fun and different experience to get to ride up in a tram and then play down the mountain. My dad remembers coming to this golf course when he was little, so it was special to all play it together on our vacation. They have done a great job on the upkeep of the course. I also loved how they had plaques throughout to talk about some of the different things that gives the course character! If you play early in your trip, they will sign the scorecard to give you discounted rates for a second time. There are two courses to play, so I thought that was a pretty cool deal! Wish we could have taken advantage of it! All in all, will definitely be back to play again!

You may end up paying to park as their lot is small. The lines are pretty long as you have to wait for a lift to the top of the hill to start. It takes about 10-12 ppl at a time and it helps space out the players but you still end up waiting on the group ahead of you. They did sell bottles of water for $1 which was the best deal in town. I recommend taking a water bottle everywhere in Gatlinburg.

We have been visiting this course for many many years, so now it is a family tradition to stop here anytime we visit. Nothing has changed! It is a double-sided course - you choose left or right once you reach the top of the mountain via the short tram ride. The staff is friendly and welcoming. Be forewarned this place is packed during peak season - even in the evening. We thought we might take advantage of the discounted second visit promo while on our 5 day trip, but it was busy every time we drove by.
