    Love this place!
Love this course! This is always one of our favorite mini golf courses. There are two courses to choose from and it's on the side of the mountain so you ride an incline up to play. It's a unique experience, well kept and price is in line with all the other mini golf places in the area. You can come back within three days of your visit and play a second game at a discount which is nice.

    Unique and fun!
First time visiting Gatlinburg and was looking for something to do in the evening. You will never find a more unique and fun miniature golf course like this! Why is this place awesome!? You're playing golf on the side of a mountain and in order to get to the courses you have to ride up a 300 ft incline! Had a blast and it's on my list to visit again!

Wished we would have known sooner
All these years we have been coming to Pigeon Forge - Gatlinburg and we have never even thought about this place until we watched a YouTube video of it while planning our trip. We’ve always wondered where the course was. So this trip we stopped in to play a round. The ladies at the ticket booth were so sweet, they gave us our scorecard and told us to hang on to it and we could come back at a discount rate for the next 3 days. We chose our putters, our golf balls, a pencil and rode the incline to the top of the mountain. You start at the top of either side right or left and play your way back down to the incline stop. We had so much fun, this may tell my age but the whole course reminds me of the old funny paper comic strip in the newspaper “Maw n Paw Snuff”! So much to look at from chickens with socks, hillbilly art, old shine stills and plenty of signs with hillbilly sayings. You shouldn’t get bored while you wait for the rest of your group to play! We liked it so much we planned to play the other side but the high winds and thunderstorms closed the course on the last of the third day since our first game. We did stop in four days after the first play and they honored it and we paid less than half price! They had no problem honoring it all I did was ask! These days it’s awesome that a business stands behind their word! We finished our game for now but we will make this a must from now on every trip. We spoke with a very nice worker on the course that informed us that this has been family owned and operated since they opened almost 50 years ago. It’s always great to support small businesses.

    Whoa Nelly for Hillbilly!
The ride up makes you wonder what all the fuss is about then you arrive. All about the location the location the location which is incredible. The two 18 hole courses offer plenty of variety & fun for all ages. The staff are friendly. It’s a must stop imho.

We have always loved to play putt putt- We noticed this place last time we were in Gatlinburg and we are so glad we stopped! Friendly staff, affordable, and we loved that we could come back and play the 2nd course for a reduced price! We will visit again!

    One of a kind course
We had a blast! Very unique and quirky course. Fairy priced ($14/person) . For an additional $6 you can play the second course (if you do it within 3 days). They had posts about bear sightings and a fun lift up to the mountain. Highly recommend.

    Hillbilly Golf is great fun!
Hillbilly Golf was so much fun!! What a unique way to play miniature golf. Hubby and I play mini golf every time we go on vacation and we had a blast at this course. Two courses (you pay for one and for an extra $6 can play again), reasonable prices and fun atmosphere. Love the lift taking you up and down the hill. Recommend for anyone!

    Great time
Creative holes and a fun atmosphere. Staff was super-nice, course is cared for and shady. No chance for a free game at the end, though, and you really only get 17 holes. But we got a senior discount and loved our time there.

    Shaded Mini Golf
A unique concept to build 2, 18-hole mini golf courses on the side of the mountain. The best part was playing in the shade in the middle of a hot day. Course was pretty good, we did course B. Nice bonus to play for half price if you return within 3 days.

    So much fun!
Expensive but very fun golf course. Two courses available. Lots of creative holes. Located right on the side of the mountain. Very near the Moonshine Mountain Coaster. Great course. Trolley let's off right by it.

My husband and I did this course as we like to play putt putt on vacation. This was unique in that you ride a tram up a mountain and then play on the mountain side. The courses are easy with farm equipment obstacles. After you're finished you take the tram back down. You can have staff sign your card and come back for another round on the other course for $5.99. We enjoyed our time!

The bad during COVID-19 times is masks are not required in line or on tram (there is plastic between each row). During the course you have plenty of space to socially distance. You have to disinfect your club and ball yourself, but the solution looked crazy dirty. Take hand sanitizer and don't touch your face. There's restrooms at the bottom where you can wash your hands afterwards.

Thank you so much for spending part of your visit to beautiful Gatlinburg with us here at Hillbilly Golf. We are pleased that you enjoyed your visit with us and that you took your valuable time to give us such a nice review. Concerning your COVID-19 remarks; We have signs posted at both entrances requesting our guest to practice social distancing and to wear protective masks. The vast majority of guest are happy to comply with this request. However, it should be noted that our attraction is an outside venue and the state mandate is that people attending outside venues are given more leeway as to if they choose to wear masks or not. On our tram, as you have noted, we have placed large plexiglass dividers between the rows and we only put the same groups in each row. We will even send a single family or individual groups up on their own if they request that. The tram along with the railing are wiped down periodically throughout the day and we provide hand sanitizer for our guest. Regarding the sanitation stations we use to disinfect the clubs and golf balls. This solution is a very strong commercial grade disinfectant that is refreshed throughout the day and changed completely daily. The color of the disinfectant concentrate solution along with the blue color of the container are what gave you the incorrect impression that the solution was dirty. I assure you it is as clean as we can make it. Again, thank you for your visit and your valuable input. We look forward to seeing you next year to help us celebrate our 50th year of operation here at Hillbilly Golf.

Our family stopped by here on a whim as we had heard good things and were in the area for Gatlinburg. We had no idea that this course went up into the mountains AND you had to climb into a lift cart to be carried 300' up the hill, that was actually super cool. While you are waiting there is a guy who kind of narrates and talks about the ride and is very entertaining and interactive with the customers. Once at the top you have a choice of 2 different 18 hole courses, one to the right, one to the left. You also get a discount on replay rounds if you want to go up and do the other side as well. While it was pricey, it was super fun. All of the holes are super easy and quirky and the place is designed as such that it's really hard to lose your ball, unless you're a total maniac, the area is sealed off really well to prevent it. One more thing, as with everything else in the area, you're in bear country, we didn't see any but apparently there were some bears up there right before we went up. It's very rare to have an incident with a bear but the thought of it kind of added to the excitement. One last thing, parking is available but it costs money, $1 . very cheap and accessible metered parking. We thought that was reasonable given how crowded Gatlinburg is.

Great fun but they didn’t enforce masks or distancing in line. They had signs saying to wear masks and stay apart, but they allowed in people with no masks and to crowd into line. Just sell masks for $2 and I’m sure people will go back to their cars to get them.

First of all prepare yourself for a wait in line to get in to this place. The line is long and it will take time as they limit how many people can be up on the course. Maybe have one person stand in line and the rest wait in the car. The parking lot to the right of the place is a paid public lot so be prepared to pay. Bring Cash for that as the card reader didn't work right. There is a small parking lot to the left of the place that is theirs but it only holds a few spots. The course is awesome as you ride a tram up the hill and get to choose which course to play by getting out to the right or the left of the tram. They have bottle water near the end of the course for a $1 and its on the honor system so when your thirsty send someone to get them. The history and layout of the course makes this amazing. When we were done and went down the tram it was raining hard. But we never felt any rain while on the course because the tree coverage blocked it out. After you play the first course they let you come back in within three days to play the second course for 6 instead of 12.

There are about a dime a dozen mini golf places between Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge but no one does mini golf like Hillbilly Golf!! Super fun to play on the side of a mountain and there are two courses. Both unique and different in their own way. Our last hole was an outhouse which was just too funny. You can play a second round for $5.99 per a person and have 3 days to come back so you aren’t forced to play again right away. We loved all the quirky holes and the unique information/history they provided while golfing. For COVID purposes, I think they did as best of a job as they could for sanitizing their equipment. They had stations set up so that you could sanitize your own as you selected your club and ball. I didn’t mind since I would rather do it myself. Overall, fun time for all ages. It took us about an hour or so to play 18 holes.

Rode a tram to the top and there were 2 different courses to choose from. Both were nicely shaded by trees so it wasn’t hot. Challenging and fun course. We saw a bear at the top and one of the workers blew an air horn to make it go in a different direction. Cost was fair and if you bring your scorecard back within 3 days you can play again for 5.99 per person. We enjoyed it and would return again.

I would highly recommend going to hillbilly golf if you are planning to play putt putt. The staff on site were beyond friendly and make you feel like family. The putt putt course was fun and I will definitely be back to try the second course they have. I have played many of putt putt courses but this one is definitely better than them all. The woods atmosphere is amazing also it makes you feel like you are away from the city scene.

This was a blast! We had 3 adults, 1 teen and 1 kid in our group and we all had a blast! They have a few rocking chairs and places for family members to sit, that might not want to golf. We went around 8pm.
We were lucky to get a parking spot as they only have a couple. (This was opened in the 70s, I believe and Gstlinburg wasn't as big as it is now), there is however a city pay parking lot next door. If you have to go to the bathroom use the one at the city lot because once you start golfing, there isn't a bathroom available.
The line was long but it is summer and expected. They had fans with misters going to help keep people cool and the closer you got to the front of the line they even had hot wheel cars and a track to play with.
You ride a totally safe and non scary (I'm a wimp) tram to the top to play. You (& your group) either exit to the right or the left, so choose on your way up. You can keep your score card and go back within 3 days to play the other course at a discounted price!
The staff was great, the course was one of the most well kept mini golf courses I have ever played and it hsd challenging holes too!! They do get bears there so be on the look BUT they have their number posted at every hole in case you lose a ball or see a bear. (Reading reviews on Trip Advisor, I grabbed an extra for my youngest because I know how he is. I ended up needing it because my ball got caught in a hole lol!)
The hillbilly theme was adorable. I'd recommend this to anyone, I would come here again, if we ever come back this way.
If I was a local and had family come from out of town, I'd bring them here.

Cute lil putt putt golf. You go up the side of the mountain in a little Tram car and golf down. Grandkids loved it (adults too). If we would have had time we would have went back and did the other side. You pick which side you want to do at the top. You can come back with your score card within 3 days and get a discounted rate.

We played years ago and I wasnt impressed. Im so glad we gave it another try. You ride in an inclined railway up to the top. You then decide if you are going to play the left or right side. Being seated in the chairs we chose the left side. We loved the different antique objects we had to hit through. The trees are beautiful. You walk over a bridge and get to a section that was burned during the fires of 2016. We enjoyed seeing huge tree roots displayed as art on the course and all of the hidden objects in the trees. There was even a plinko hole that was fun. We will play this course everytime we come. They are still updating it by painting beautiful flowers on the fences.
