The space needle is a great place to visit if you don't mind heights. The view is phenomenal and breathe taking. It's also a little scary, could definitely use some renovations. The floor had holes in it and the elevator felt like it could break...More

This is my must see in Gatlinburg. Strangely, you buy your ticket in a loud, garish arcade but the price is right even if the elevator is a little scary. The view from the top is a stunning panorama of city and Smokies. The signage...More

We took 2 of our grandsons on the Space Needle and the 16 year old said he’d like to stay up there all day. It’s a great value considering you can go back up the next day free.

The people who run the needle are great. We loved the trip up even though it was raining. The views are breathtaking. The arcade is huge and has lots to choose from!

We did the deal they had going on where you pay for 2 and get to go up twice, once during daytime and once at nighttime, and also included an arcade card which we had fun playing. The views all around are worth going to...More

It was really cool at the top. there was a bit of wind while we were up there and it was swaying slightly... made my son and hubby a bit nervous lol. i thought it was cool.

We went up to the top of the "needle" our first morning in Gatlinburg to have a look around. At 407 feet, it's a decent view with interesting historical info posted at the top. However, it's showing its age and needs some love.

I would say yes, after you reach the top you can stay on the platform , or sit in the benches and enjoy it. You see both ways on the main street of Gatlinburg.

i think it was like $10 for adults and $6 for kids. You get to return once for free within 24 hours of your first ride to the top so you can go up once at night and once during the day.
