It was wet and kind of warm. The ski instructors knew what they were doing. It was fun from the beginning to the end. The rain meant nothinG! There's a large ice skating rink inside. Many shops to visit. The tram operators were knowledgeable about the area and offered things to do. Was a pleasant experience for sure. Definitely a... More

We are glad you enjoyed the atmosphere at Ober Gatlinburg and the activities that we have to offer that change throughout the year. We do try to provide something for everyone in the family to enjoy. Some of our outdoor activities are subject to close for safety reasons in certain weather conditions. Snow tubing is one of our most popular... More

I went to Ober with some friends and overall, it was a great time. It was nice to be able to rent the items you needed. I rented pants, skiis and boots. Fortunately, we were there in the beginning of January when it snowed around 8 inches. As someone who has been skiing in Utah, I can say I've seen... More

We are glad you and your friends had fun skiing. We have been lucky to keep our slopes open even with this unseasonably warm weather. We do try to provide something for everyone in the family to enjoy here at Ober Gatlinburg. Snow tubing is one of our most popular activities in the winter, and does tend to sell out... More

Nice aerial tram ride. Ober lodge smells old and humid. But the customer service is quite right. Rental equipment given to us was kind of old and weary. Food at the restaurant was good and fair in price. Water is a shop was very expensive $2.75 per bottle

We are sorry that you found our facilities outdated once you arrived, we have been working very hard over the last 5 years to update as our finances allow. On average, we reinvest over $1M every year in improvements. Yes, there are areas on the Mountain that are over 50 years old and we will continue to work to improve... More

We enjoyed our trip to Over Gatlinburg with my daughter. The park is somewhat dated and has a Bavarian feel, but it is clean fairly inexpensive family fun. You could easily spend an entire day here and have plenty to see, do, and eat.

Over Gatlinburg was a must see with a hefty price tag and a very long wait. The line for the tram up the mountain gets pretty ridiculous but the ride is so beautiful. Snow tubing and the coaster were the best !

The temperature was warm for January, about 63 degrees. Yet there was snow at Ober Gatlinburg for skiing, snowboarding and snow tubing! It was so much fun and no climbing back to the top after the slide. Being taken back up to the top of the hill was great. Next time I visit, I would like to try ice skating... More

This place may worth a day trip only if you live within 2 hours drive. Attached pic is from Dec 30 2016. There is more grass than snow. They still run a small lift and change full price for a bunny slope. Plus $5 for parking. Rip off! You wait in line longer than you ski down that hop. Planned... More

Like every “ski area” east of the Mississippi, we have been experiencing the warmest Winter on record. Like every Area in the Southeast, we rely entirely on our ability to make snow to operate our slopes. When the average temperature is in the 60s for an extended period of time, that process is not possible. More

We purchased tickets in advance (they sell out so make sure you buy in advance, especially if you are driving from far away) and we unable to make it due to a recent snow storm. While they do not offer refunds, Nancy in guest services was extremely helpful. She processed a voucher for an alternate date and sent them to... More
