Super cool and friendly tasting room on the main drag in Gatlinburg. There were three “free” sips of what was on tap - including the amazing “slushies” or 9 tastes for just $5 dollars. The second we walked in here they greeted us with a friendly smile and pulled us up to a friendly person to take care of us, Heidi was awesome! She answered all of our questions and made great suggestions for our take home purchases. Definitely a place for the sweet at heart. The ciders were cold, flavorful and delicious. Hibiscus, pineapple, watermelon were all on tap during our visit. It is important to know there is nowhere to sit down and enjoy a beverage in this spot, and you are not allowed to have any alcoholic open containers on the street in this town.

I thoroughly enjoyed my tasting with Heidi! She was working with at least 8 people at the counter and still took the time to explain each flavor of cider she served. She asked for the sale when we were done with the tasting but wasn’t aggressive or pushy. Although the cider’s a little pricey, I bought the 3 pack with glasses, choosing pineapple, blueberry, & watermelon, mostly because of the excellent service Heidi provided. I’ll definitely visit again the next time I’m in Gatlinburg.

We just happened across this spot while walking around after an aquarium tour. The $5 tasting event seemed very reasonable to me so I decided to go for it. Kelly M was my hostess and she did a fantastic job of describing each cider, wine, and slushy as it was presented. Everything was delicious and I could easily have spent a lot of money in here. We ended up buying a bottle of the Green Apple Cider to take home but if I am ever back in the area I will be visiting this place again. Thanks Kelly M!

Let me start by saying I am not a cider drinker at all. BUT this place is awesome! The bartenders and staff is amazing. You can pay to sample all their different flavors and be assigned to a specific bartender, which I would recommend.

Katey and Will helped us my wife and I, and we had the best time just enjoying the atmosphere. Honestly they were so friendly it was like having a conversation with old friends. We wound up buying a bottle of cider because of how great their service was...not to mention the product itself is quite good!

We would stop in every time we are visiting Gatlinburg, just to say ‘hi’ to our new friends, who wouldn’t remember us from Adam - ha!

My friends and I were celebrating a 21st birthday. We walked up and met Curt, one of the nicest, respectful and welcoming bartenders I have ever met. He was fun to talk to and could've sold me the shirt off my back and I would've thanked him on my Instagram at out the door. He gave us a great deal on 12 bottles of cider and a couple bags of their cider smoothie-mix. Obviously, the cider was fantastic but the place is great and atmospheric. Way more low-key than the electric atmosphere of the moonshine tasting locations like ole Smokey or Tennessee distilling company. But Curt was the real hero of that experience. A Tennessee native that showed real hospitality without the fake, tourist trap salesman BS. Thank you Curt.

One of the fun experiences of Gatlinburg was strolling down its main street on the first night of our visit. Fortunately for us, it was a Thursday, so the weekend crowds had not yet descended upon the town. The doors to the Tennessee Cider Company were wide open, and Cherry Wonderdog trotted inside, assumed her human form, and absorbed the introductory pitch by one of the charming cider ‘bartenders’ behind the tap. The ambiance was warm and somewhat electric with plenty of tasters and buyers; this meant not feeling on the spot to be the center of attention, with more flexibility to wander about the attractive store and browse.

We were allowed three free samples as an incentive to invest in a more substantial quantity of fermented liquid. Over the span of about ten minutes, I went for the blueberry, watermelon, and, my favorite, red apple. It was fun discussing the tastes and preparation methods with the young lady who served me and many others simultaneously. In fact, all three samples were delicious, but I couldn’t bring any liquid back with me on the flight home. I dropped a tip into the jar and continued down the Parkway to our next random destination.

Myself and two others visited the location in downtown Gatlinburg the day before last and had an amazing experience! We did the $5 VIP tasting which allowed us to try the 6 hard ciders they have on tap, as well as a few of their wines. Everything was delicious! The customer service was the cherry on top of the whole experience. We were helped by the wonderful Heidi. She was upbeat, personable, and knowledgeable about each of the drinks we sampled. Not only that, but she was able to help multiple groups at once without making you feel rushed or left out. I highly recommend making the Tennessee Cider Company a priority when you visit Gatlinbug; and if you go to the one in downtown, ask if Heidi is there...You're sure to have a wonderful experience!

Heidi was our bartender for the VIP tasting and she made sure that we knew all about what we were trying and explained each flavor very well. She was so sweet and personable and even just the few minutes we were with her we had such a great time in the store. Every time we come we have to make sure to grab a bottle of the golden apple! Strawberry was a huge contender though! Heidi was great at explaining the prices and promotions going on and we ended up with 12 bottles of cider and even got an amazing discount that made it 100% worth it. Had to stock up while we were there! We will definitely be back next time we are in Gatlinburg!

Excellent cider. All of the ciders are very good. A little pricey however.
Heidi was a bit rude. She knows the product, but she is short on people skills. She was worried about grabbing people as they came in the door, but was in no hurry to finish with the customers she was already with. She would get you committed, then put you aside to take on new people coming in, then give you very short answers with a bit of attitude. We went in twice during our vacation and she did that to us both times. Both times we waited between tasting so she could take on new customers. She would walk away from us, greet them, explain everything to them, give them their first taste, then come back to us, pour another flavor, then go away again. She did this several times. What should have been a 10 - 15 minute tasting took about 45 mins. There were others working there so we figured it was a commission thing and she wanted to get them before anyone else did. She did that during a refill for us as well. She would pour some in the bottle, then go do a tasting, come back, pour again, than leave, do another flavor for someone, then come back and pour a little more. What could we do? We couldn't just leave, she had our bottle that we already paid for. Once again there were 2 others working but she was catching new people as they came in before anyone else could. When we go back on our next trip, if she is there and no one else is available, we will just skip that stop. We love the cider, but it just isn't worth being pushed aside like that.

Great place to visit for a welcoming cider tasting! My wife and I went to Gatlinburg for 5 days coming from Miami, FL. and loved going here so much that we ended up visiting twice. Some of the best hard cider that we’ve had anywhere. The second time we went back was primarily for the hot hard apple cider, which is amazing. I also highly recommend the blueberry and hibiscus ciders we bought bottles of both. The hospitality is excellent and extremely welcoming. Our cider expert was Tristan. Extremely friendly, knowledgeable and welcoming from the second we stepped foot in the door. Sampling was excellent and Tristan went as far to check in the back for an additional tank top size for my wife because she loved it so much. I bought 2 shirts myself while we were there. They are extremely soft and fit perfectly. I recommend if you are a large to get an XL. Overall, excellent experience and quality service and product from these guys. A must try if you are in the area.
