3 brand new dedicated pickleball courts to go along with 6 nice tennis courts. Good playground for kids as well.

WE have utilized their bathroom facilities multiple times on our trips to the Smokey Mountains. This park is situated right on the road that leads to the Motor Fork Auto Trail. That motor trail has many hiking trails we have enjoyed. Inevitably we always seem to stop here for a trip to their bathrooms. They are clean.

It also has grills and many picnic tables. It is an under utuilzed park. We enjoy this quiet park with an adjacent creek. There is a nice plaque that explains the name to this park. It is dedicated to a politician in the 70's that seen what Gatlinburg could become and helped push to make it happen.

WE will no doubt be back to this park at some point. It seems to draw us back regularly.

What a wonderful hidden gem. You have the sound of the stream and cascades, the beautiful shade trees and the bird songs. It's a great place to relax, have a picnic and step away from the hustle and bustle for a little bit.

If you are looking for a nice, quiet, and relaxing park to have a picnic lunch or just a nice walk this is the place. It is located above the business district of Gatlinburg just past the entrance to the Vista Park Hotel (round one that can be seen from most of Gatlinburg) There are bathrooms, tennis courts, a jungle gym for the kids and plenty of room to be alone. Plenty of shade, nice stream that babbles and just a relaxing environment. Check it out!

We got married by the creek with the bridge in the background. Beautiful fall leaves & sunshine. Was disappointed with all the construction mainly due to removing the playground we saw that was there when we made our plans. Still a beautiful place.

We were the only ones here during the busy season! This park is off the beaten path yet right next to downtown Gatlinburg. Since it is one of Gatlinburg's city parks and not part of the Smoky Mountains National Park, it is relatively unknown. Yet it is just as lovely as any of the picnic areas in the National Park. It even has a babbling brook! The restrooms are very modern and are cleaner than those in the National Park.

My family was looking for a place to sit and enjoy nature ... and we found it here! There's several picnic tables set in the shade next to the stream. The 7 year old loved walking on the rocks, mostly balancing himself, with an occasional foot hitting the water. The 4 year old occupied herself with collecting rocks, acorns, and centipedes. We all enjoyed the butterflies and birds and were pleasantly surprised that there weren't any mosquitoes. We found the restrooms clean. It was a nice change from the hustle & bustle of downtown Gatlinburg.

Quiet park and feels just like you are in the National Park.

We were in town from Houston for almost 2 wks. Had our dog with us who is used to walking 2-3 miles/day. Disappointing the National Park trails are not pet friendly. Looked for other local/city options to keep him entertained after our daily hikes. Mynatt was one of the options we checked out.

Picnic tables by the creek. Kids under 12 fish free. Restrooms available too. Short walking path, but less than a 1/2 mile loop perhaps? Needs more trails/walking areas, but does make for a great quiet picnic and family spot especially if you are trying to dodge the tourist crowds of the NP!

Chuckie (the dog) is glad we checked it out!

Mynatt Park is a lovely city park in Gatlinburg at the intersection of Cherokee Orchard Road and Asbury Lane. Pretty Le Conte Creek runs beside the park providing a lovely walk and views of flowing water, mossy rocks, and trees. During our visit, a small wedding party found a lovely spot next to the creek as the perfect setting for their ceremony. A cute wooden footbridge provides a picturesque viewpoint from Cherokee Orchard Road into the park. If driving to the park, parking is located on Asbury Lane.

The park is currently undergoing maintenance, and the pavilion and play area are not available. The park has a basketball court and tennis courts. Even with construction work in progress, we found it pleasant to visit Mynatt Park.

Those staying at the hotels on Airport Rd/Historic Nature Trail will find a convenient walk and visit to Mynatt Park.

Lovely little park with picnic tables where you can stop and eat your lunch on a picnic table by a stream.
