Our tour guide, Kathy, was amazing, comical, and very knowledgeable on the rich history of Gatlinburg! Our children (13, 10, and 7) even enjoyed it. Some people were wary of the "2 hour walk on the tour", but don't let it sway you, it's definitely worth it! It is actually only a 1 mile walk, but of course stopping at each site adds up. Happy haunting 👻

Our guide, Cathy, was very enthusiastic about the ghost tour. She shared with us the history of the areas we visited and was extremely knowledgeable. She answered any questions we had and allowed us all the time we want to visit the areas. We had a very memorable experience.

Kathy was our guide on this and was awesome! We got to have equipment to help us search for energy and everything. This was a highlight of our trip in Gatlinburg, and I definitely recommend it for an evening activity. I’m a skeptic but I got sooooo creeped out on this tour and it definitely made me ask questions!!! This is also the most interactive tour we have been on and we love to do them!

Waste of money, you walk maybe 2-3 blocks and listen to the guide tell stories about a couple murders/deaths and he shows you pictures of orbs others have captured. Then trys to sell you on books he wrote. Don't waste your time.

I had done my research about this tour and knew what to expect. This tour was exactly what it says it will be. Kathy was an excellent story teller and kept us engaged the entire time. The stories were interesting and the walk was not too far.
Kathy explained the equipment and how to use it, she provided great directions on taking photos and even bear safety.
If ever in Gatlinburg, I would do this tour again in hopes of being able to capture something the next time!

This is sad that people like this are taking innocent people who do not know any better to the cleaners. I hope everyone reads this review before going.

I am a professional investigator, the founder of Ghost Finders of Indiana. I have been doing this for over five years and have been featured on National T.V. I have an LLC grant from the government as well. I have a full blown Facebook with true paranormal proof.

First, you never, ever can guarantee the proof of the paranormal. This is a very rare occurrence that it actually happens. It does not happen much but when it does it is amazing and very rare. What these people are calling paranormal is either fog pictures or dust pictures. Both of these can be called paranormal because most people do not know the difference.

PLEASE save your money because there is no such thing as a guaranteed paranormal encounter for proof. Do not waste your time or money because what they are calling paranormal is NOT real. It is them lying to you about natural explanations.

Thanks for reading!

Adam, I am sorry you feel this way, we try very hard to inform and entertain our customers and I strongly belive that we do do just that. Unfortunately, some come to the tour with preconceived notions or personal idea's of what the tour should be and while we try to explain what the tour is and is not, those preconceptions remain with some. We NEVER tell anyone what they have captured on their camera is. We leave that to the viewer to decied for themselves. Nor do we Guarantee "proof" of anything. We do provide a walking tour with tales of history, folklore and some of the more "colorful" parts of Gatlinburg's past. We do get wonderful pictures virtually every tour that pic your curiosity and many (most?) believe they have witnessed paranormal activity.

We made reservations to participate in the tour tonight (4-30-14). We understood that, according to the site and the reservation attendant, if we needed to cancel we could do so until 5:00pm without being charged. It started raining about 4:30pm, so my husband called to cancel. He called several times from 4:30 to 5pm and kept getting the answering machine. Finally, at 5:02 a man answered and told my husband that since it was 5:05 we could not cancel. We waited until 6pm and it was still raining, so I called. Once again we got the answering machine. I called twice from our hotel phone (the one we made the reservation from and that my husband had called from) and got the answering machine both times. Immediately after those calls, I called from my cell phone and the call was answered on the first ring. I explained to the man that my husband had tried to call before 5:00 and couldn't get an answer. He said that he was the one who had spoke to my husband. He said I was not telling the truth about my husband calling before 5:00 because their phone hadn't been busy and it would have came right through. He actually said to me "that's not gonna work", as if I were purposely lying to scam him. I told him that I too had just tried calling and couldn't get through and he told me that was not true and there was no way he was going to let us cancel. It is obvious that they were screening the calls to prevent people from being able to cancel. He spoke in a loud, rude tone and wasn't even apologetic or professional.

JoBing99, I am terribly sorry that you had a bad experience. I do understand your frustration and while I am not trying to make excuses, please understand we have had a problem with people making reservations and being no shows or canceling late causing us to have too many guides for tours that we really didn't need and still must pay that we would not have if the cancelation was made within the time allowed for that. This costs us money and when it is repeated by a number of people it adds up. If the gentleman you talked to was rude, I certainly apologize, there is absolutely no excuse for that. In knowing him I can say without a doubt in my mind he was not screening calls to prevent cancelations. That is certainly NOT our policy and never has been. We are under new management and I would like to offer a free tour to you and your husband the next time you are here in Gatlinburg and certanly my sincerest apologies. i understand that won't make up for your bad experience but I hope in a small way you will feel a little better knowing that we really did listen to your concerns and we want to help make it right to some degree.

We found a pamphlet for this tour in our hotel lobby and thought it looked interesting because I love ghost tours. DO NOT give these people your credit cars information because they will take your money no matter what! It was pouring rain and I am 6 months pregnant. The tour starts at 9 and we called at 6 to tell them to cancel our reservation because let's face it, how many pregnant women would be able to stand and walk in the pouring rain!? Not many! The guy on the phone was very rude and informed us that there would be no refund no matter what! I was crying at this point because 40 bucks down the drain is a lot of money for newlywed expecting parents. We even went to the site at 8:30 to try and speak to the guide but he was equally as rude and we were told we should have visited the website where it apparently says no cancelations 4 hours prior to the tour. We were not told this when we booked and we were in a hotel with no wi-fi. Therefore, we have NO idea they were going to take our money no mater what! DO NOT give them your money! Needless to say this put a BIG damper on the weekend.

DO NOT DO THIS TOUR!!!!!!!
This tour was just a joke. The girl with a messed up foot was just rude for the most part and it was for the most part all about her, every story came back to her somehow. She talked down to people including the other lady that was showing pictures. She was arrogant and just rude. Half the story's were not even told right 100% how they happened, she didn't know some of the details as she stated "I haven't done my research". At the end of of the tour, 2 1/2 hours later, people were beyond ready to go and didn't want to continue to stand at the church and decied to just leave and started handing her the tools (which none of them worked) and she started becoming very douchy as she knew she wasn't getting a tip, she made one family stand there because she wouldn't take their tools from them!!! I'm sorry I already paid you over $40 for this boring tour, you definitely ain't getting a tip for being rude, arrogant and right down douchy.

Just Wow, Unfortunately I wasn't there for your tour but I don't see how she could been more rude than you were on this review. We have received Trip advisors certificate of Excellence for 4 years in a row and that doesn't happen acting the way you describe. As for the tools , some days we have lots of activity some not as much and I am not what you mean by they didn't work but I assure you they do work. As for not taking the equipment at the end. One person can carry only so much equipment themselves. I completely understand if one walked to the starting point that would want to leave early, but as I said one person can only carry so much I hope you can see her dilemma.

Where do I begin? We met in a pancake restaurant parking lot. The guide, Terri, gave many of us 'tools' to help with the experience. I became skeptical almost right away when she said that if the device I had would light up that it meant ghosts were right next to me. She handed out other similar gadgets with similar claims. But she actually didn't reference them again throughout the whole tour. We walked through a bunch of hotel parking lots and side streets, about a block or two off the main drag in Gatlinburg. There were stories at each stop but, unfortunately, they didn't make much sense and didn't really talk about potential ghosts or ghost sightings. Our guide, Terri, was a nice person, but had trouble with the stories she was telling in that she mixed up details and really lost her audience pretty early. I would not recommend this tour until they change their routine and upgrade their story telling.

I am sorry you didn't enjoy the tour. We do meet in a parking lot because out in the open and safer than an enclosed lobby like we used to do. The tools we use are provided to us by companies that provide the equipment for ghost hunting tv shows. You may not believe in them and thats ok but thats not a reason to give us a one star rating. A ghost tour takes you to a number of locations and tells you the stories, the history and the folklore of what happened in those locations. That is true all over the world. We do not promise that you will see ghosts as frankly if your not a sensitive (and you would know if you are ) that won't happen anywhere. You might get a picture of something if you take a number of pictures, thats fairly common. What would you have liked your guide to reference with regards to the equipment? you were told what it was and how it works she cannot possibly reference all the equipment through out the tour or we would not have the time to tell the stories. watching the equipment is your job and in my opinion and that of hundreds of others a lot of fun!
