Utterly delightful drive right through the middle of the Great Smoky Mountain range. Start in one state and arrive in another. Don't pass up the chance to take the road to Clingman's Dome. It is hard to describe and must be experienced!
You won’t miss this attraction if you’re on 441 between Gatlinburg and Cherokee, as you pass right through it. The parking lot, though large, can be full throughout the day, especially summertime and weekends.

After hiking the Chimney Tops trail, we ventured up the road and found the Newfound Gap. The views were incredible. They had different hiking options, restrooms, and viewing areas. The only downfall was there was limited parking, as we visited during spring break.
