Fun and different way to spend the afternoon in Gatlinburg
Grabbed 2 tickets and were offered an AAA discount which was a nice surprise. Enjoyed the lift chair up the mountain offering great views. Had lunch overlooking the mountain. Enjoyed live music, gardens, fun swinging foot bridge paths and wonderful rockers in the shade. Husband climbed the Ana vista tower for an even higher view. A beautiful setting to enjoy the mountain.

    It just gets better
We have been going to Anakeesta since it opened. We went up and did all the stuff, bridges, agility courses and the view from the top. The flowers are beautiful. The live music was great. Just a fun day. We went back down into town then decided to go back up and watch the sunset. It was so awesome, so pretty. We then decide to do the light show. It’s incredible. You should do it. It’s a mile walk through the coolest lights and fog. It’s really different but it’s a lot of fun.

    Beautiful Park in the Mountains!
Beautiful Mountain Top Park! Amazing views, beautiful walking paths, fire pits with Adirondack chairs, numerous photo ops, something for everyone. Food and drink choices are adequate and expectedly expensive. Smart Tip: Take the Ridge Rambler open-back truck to and from the top! You won’t have to wait more than 10 minutes for the ride, and the real views are from the top anyways. You can easily spend 45-60 minutes in line for the chair lift!

Beautiful views . I would go again anytime !
This was our first time going here so I didn’t know what to expect. The line was long to get to the top of the mountain. We waited about 30 min in the line to ride the truck to the top. The lift line was close to 1 hour wait . The views from the top are absolutely stunning. They have chairs and benches throughout the entire park for visitors to sit and take in the views . The treetop skywalk was my favorite thing . It is a series of swinging bridges up in the treetops . My kids ages 14 and 17 both liked the gem mining . The tower also has amazing views . There are several shops and eating places as well . We got a cocktail when we arrived and sat by the fire . We ate bbq later in the day and the views from the deck were once again amazing. I would go here again anytime !!

    Beautiful!
A relaxing ski lift ride to a very lovely place to spend a few hours. The views are stunning, especially from the tower. Flowers are outstanding. Kids and adults will love the rope walks. Lots of outdoor seating, including rocking chairs.

first but not the last time to visit
What a beautiful place. The ride up on the lift was incredible to see the mountains. Up top the flowers were just amazing. There were a couple of rides which we didn't do, few stores and eating places. We walked up the tower and it was a wow outlook. I would go back at night as they have the lights on and is supposed to be beautiful (per employees)

Not worth the money, not the best for handicapped
To start we had mixed messages from staff about what to do. We had an adult who was handicapped and on a scooter and then small children with strollers. Originally staff said scooter can ride on gondola no problem. Then when getting in line staff stated it need to be broken down and walked on. We asked if we could ride the truck to the top and we’re told no. While the hour waiting in line to get up to the top, another staff member instructed staff strollers could be strapped to ski lifts. This moved the line faster however just for our littles. When we did get to the top some of the attractions were closed due to building the bird houses which we knew they were building however we didn’t know they would close attractions. While waiting in line for food another scooter friend mentioned they rode the truck up. So we were able to get in line to ride the truck down with our strollers and the scooter. This was much easier and the staff was very nice and stayed we should have been able to ride up also. As wonderful as this staff was and as fast as it was compared to the ski lift; it was frustrating that all staff wasn’t properly trained on how to help handicapped passengers.

    Great views, limited options.
We had an enjoyable visit but there was a large business group that was there at the same time. It feels more like a botanical park than a theme park with no rides operating and limited food options. The views are excellent though and the treetop walk made it worth the excursion.

    Anakeesta Zipline.
Fearful and fearless experienced the zip line and both got just what we needed! Thankful for the scenery, course and excellent team that cheered us on. It was worth the price and a neat way to experience the beauty of the area. Shout out to Ashton, Nate, Anthony, Victor, and Violet who added to our enjoyment.

I actually created a trip advisor account just to give this place a bad review. Not worth the money. Half the attractions were closed at the top. It was hot outside (84) because your standing in the sun 95% of the time your there after a 15 minute lift ride to the top baking in the sun. Not one building on top the mountain had AC and there are VERY FEW places to stand in the shade. Only one restaurant open at the top and they had over an hour and a half wait to eat, not because it was packed but because the kitchen was backed up with no more then 20 people sitting in the place. Only one other place to eat that was open with 6$ hot dogs that taste terrible. Everything about anakeesta is a tourist tap, your stuck on the top with long lines to take you back to the bottom and everything is overpriced. Please save your money. My family and extended family were VERY disappointed.

We are disappointed to hear that you didn't experience what you were expecting. With limited capacity in our restaurant for social distancing we are running on longer than normal wait times. We are excited to offer additional dining options in a matter of a few weeks when we get the new restaurant open including a walk-up cafe for quick bites on the go. With over 70 acres it is impossible to cover every inch of the mountain but we are proud to provide cooling stations, free water stations, misting fans, shaded pergolas, umbrellas and sun shades in various locations throughout the park. It has been unusually hot this summer in East Tennessee and we are doing our best to provide a comfortable atmosphere for our guests. If you choose to visit in the future during the summer we recommend coming later in the evening as it tends to cool off quite a bit. Thank you for your feedback and for visiting Anakeesta.

Everyone should visit here at least once in their lifetime! The views are spectacular and it was lots of fun; definitely a different experience. Fabulous lunch at Cliff Top Restaurant; drinks were delicious too and great gift shop with items you will actually enjoy using/displaying back home.
Definitely recommend getting the on-line Express Pass; you’ll make only a short line (about 5 min on busy day vs waiting in long lines behind 150+ ppl or even more around holidays. Must be great to live nearby, have an annual pass and enjoy the live music by the fire a couple of nights a month in such a beautiful and serene setting. You might even see a bear on your ride up.

We are local to the area and this was our first trip to Anakeesta and it’s doubtful I will ever return or suggest anyone else to visit. I understand it is a very busy season but the service was terrible all day. We arrived before open, spent $70 on tickets and discovered once at the top, the credit card machines were not working. We never carry cash. The kids played we left. We returned later that evening, asked the attendant at the bottom if the credit card machines were working or if I needed to go to an ATM, we were instructed they were not working but they were manually taking cards and cash was not needed. The kids did gem mining where my card number was taken manually. Later we waited in line at the Smokehouse for dinner to discover after waiting in line 15 mins the attendant came out to let us know they were no longer taking cards. Everyone around us was frustrated. I went to ask the guy working the reason for all the confusion and he instructed me he was just relaying what the lady at the counter told him. He said someone has to go in tonight and enter all the card numbers and they just weren’t taking them anymore. I hate that the company has to take some time to enter card numbers after hours. No one sure minded to take my $70 to enter the facility. The staff was not communicating and no plan was in place. So once again we go to wait in an hour line to go back down to the bottom to eat dinner.

Visited April 6, 2021. Park was incredibly crowded with little to no consideration for any COVID sanitation or precautions. There is very little shade or anywhere to sit down throughout the park. The coaster was closed and it seemed like half the park was under construction. The tree venture challenge had no signage directing the route through the obstacles and there were kids and parents bottlenecks throughout the course. The treetop Skywalk was half closed for some unknown reason so it was an out and back rather than a loop providing for more congestion and standing around in close quarters. The food and beverage prices are outrageous. The only thing that was probably accurately priced were the 3lb arrow head and pay dirt bags at the gem mining area because the kids got alot of arrowheads and gems. Half the walkways around the tower were closed including the much advertised Vista Gardens. I would recommend timed entry for all tickets, not just express pass to help alleviate the overcrowding. It is a small park and was entirely too crowded for the most enjoyable experience.

I luckily am staying right next to Anakeesta so I didn’t have to pay to park. But I did pay $60+ for my son, husband and I to wait in line 45 minutes to go up the Chondola (there are only 4 and about 100+ chair lifts ). Once we got to the top there are about 2-3 shops, a restaurant, ice cream shop, a few places for the kids to play and the rope bridge (it was closed in the middle so all of us had to back track - not fun in 80° weather in masks). The coaster was really fast but NOT handicapped friendly. I climbed down (and up) 4 flights of stairs. Only stayed there maybe an hour tops.

We hope that next time you visit, the weather is a little cooler so that you can extend your stay. We realize that with only 8 enclosed cabins available the wait may be longer so we added our ridge rambler as another great option for guests to access the mountain. Our treetop skywalk will be fully restored at the end of August for guests to be able to enjoy the full length of the canopy. Unfortunately, as an outdoor park with over 70 acres, there is quite a bit of walking but we do hope to improve our guests experience by adding ramps throughout the park for easier access. We hope that you enjoyed the breathtaking views at Anakeesta and are glad that you were able to experience our single rail mountain coaster.

The rest is...meh. The zip line is pretty spectacular...three long segments through the trees and two belay segments (kinda like rappelling but no wall and the descent is mechanically controlled). If you're lucky, you'll get Princess (aka Mike), Rachel, and Logan as your guides...super fun trio that added some extra sauce to the ride.

That being said, book your park entry and the zip line online because: 1) the zip line has limited capacity and sells out 2) buying both at the same time gets you VIP status (skip to the front of the line) for the chondola ride up the mountain.

We bought the express tickets online what saved us actually quite much time in the line but on the other hand they providing way too less cabins for families to get up with the stroller. Either they just let families with strollers use the cabins or they doing much more. But like it is currently doesn’t really work especially with little kiddos. We almost spent m hour to get up. Furthermore the majority of the local staff is very unfriendly and rude by giving unclear instructions. Almost nobody from the staff is wearing a mask what is a really concern. Because the tourists are copying that behavior and acting like corona doesn’t exists up there. Nevertheless once we arrived at the top of the mountain we had a great time. Especially for little kids it’s worth the money and the panorama view. We were there early in the morning. Towards lunch time it got too crowded and all the fun was gone since way too many people overloaded the nice places, bar and restaurant!!!

Thank you for bringing these concerns to our attention. Anakeesta strives to offer the best customer service possible to our valued guests. We also take safety and COVID precautions seriously with staff getting temperature checks before entering work as well as wearing masks, disinfecting etc. Our goal is to provide a safe environment for both our employees and guests. Buying tickets online is a great way to help save time once you get to the park so that you can bypass that ticket booth and go straight to the chondola. For families with young children, strollers etc. we offer a Ridge Rambler adventure truck if our enclosed cabin line has a longer wait. We are happy to hear that once you arrived to the summit of Anakeesta you had a great time. The views and authentic outdoor family fun is a great way to spend part of your day in the smokies. We appreciate you visiting Anakeesta and hope you made wonderful memories with your family.

So glad we did this... Relaxing sky ride up to the park. Once to the top it’s like a little city with shops, restaurant, mountain coaster, zip lining, play area, tree top bridges, sit around the fire, etc.) Some things are at an additional cost. Park admission was $25 a person (that includes the sky lift both ways and tree top bridges) we rode the mountain coaster ($12- each) which i definitely recommend.

We got an express pass online. Well worth the $ as the line was SUPER long already in am. We also got the passes that prices include the zipline. Loved the ziplining & the guides (Hammer, Cassie & Noelle) were AWESOME! My only complaint is there is no pics :( I mean if you can have pics taken on a roller coaster why aren't pics taken here? We would have totally bought them as this was for our daughters 10th birthday and we met some friends from Wisconsin. The views are incredible & decorated super cute for fall with skeletons & grave sites. We wanted to try the new restaurant but they were out of a lot of stuff as their new smoker hadent been installed yet when we were there. My daughter & her friend loved the playground obstacle course. The treetop Skywalk was pretty fun also. We also did the gem mining (extra $) and we were going to ride the mountain coaster but it was down when we first arrived & then a long line later in the day. We visited in am and then left for lunch as the other restaurant was packed so we went back down to town and ate lunch and then went back up for an hour or so. Your arm band gets you in all day. We would definitely visit again but they need to add photos while doing the ziplining! Would be a big seller i believe

If you enjoy waiting in long lines and eating over priced food then this is the place for you!. I did not purchase tickets in advance through Anakeesta, instead I went through another website that advertised discounts if purchased together. Little did I know I would have to wait in a line to redeem these tickets then move to another line to wait to go up the mountain via the chairlift. Save yourself some time and purchase tickets through their website. You will avoid one line, but sadly not the other. After standing in line for about two hours, we finally moved to yet another line where you access the mountain by truck. My husband stood in that line just to see which one would move quicker. It still took us two hours, but if we had stayed in the chairlift line, we might still be there.

Once we finally made it to the top of the mountain, we were less than impressed. Long lines at the mountain rollercoaster and the restaurants made our experience even more frustrating. I would say this place is geared towards smaller children, my teenage boys were bored and ready to leave shortly after we arrived. The highlight of our day was leaving this place. If you're on the fence about spending the money to see this tourist trap, I would recommend waiting until later in the day when the lines have thinned out. Or save you money altogether and take a ride into Smoky Mountain National Park and truly enjoy the beauty of it all. We loved our day driving and seeing the sights of the park!

Anakeesta has a few things to figure out to truly give their guests a good experience. I honestly feel like I wasted an entire day of my vacation. I will never go back.
