We made a stop unscheduled stop at the Old Montana Prison complex. Very impressed with the self guided tour of Montana prison history. The bonus is a car museum included in the tour. Approximately 110 cars, ranging from early 1900’s to 1970’s muscle cars are...More

I just happened to see the advertisement for the place on the way to and from Missoula. Decided to stop on the way back. I was pleasantly surprised that the entrance fee also included a few other museums along with it. It was sad to...More

We have been here several times, and learn more each time. ``Lots of history behind those walls. Well worth te time to visit. But, you will need at least 3 hours to see and read all.

The self-guided tour gave a very comprehensive overview of this long-time prison, which to fully absorb, took about 2 hours. The prison itself is clearly falling into disrepair (and why should investment be made?) after years of neglect, and there even needs to be caution...More

This was a great break on our way to Sandpoint. This is a self guided tour of the prison and the included auto museum. We only toured the prison, which took us about 5 hours. It was so interesting, and you could see as much...More
