We had the most amazing trip ever!! It all started with a great night in one of the small bunk houses. Very clean and quaint. Then Rachel made us an amazing pancake breakfast to get us ready for our trip. Matt sat us down and went over our fly in trip in so much detail that he basically answers every... More

This is the best place by far on the Gunflint Trail, the staff is knowledgeable helpful and very friendly. The lodging is clean, comfortable and has a home away from home. feeling. Hearing the loons sing at night was incredible and the view of seagull river is exceptional. If you want an amazing trip to the Boundary Waters this is... More

With a knowledgeable and eager staff, adorable little bunkhouses, and well-maintained equipment, Voyageur provided me and my wife with a wonderful, exemplary partial-outfitting experience for our 6 day wilderness canoe trip. The experience began months before our trip with friendly and knowledgeable help in route planning via the phone. Then, they periodically called to check up on how things were... More

We got very nice help and service from TJ, who is working there for the summer - he carried our LP tank down to their refill station and had us back out to go fishing within 15 minutes. Very cheerful and helpful service - and saved us driving all the way back to Grand Marais of LP gas! Very glad... More

Took my wife and two boys (ages 13 & 10) to VCO. My oldest and I spent 3 days canoeing on Seagull Lake. Beautiful lake when the weather cooperates. We had some pretty high winds on days 2 & 3 which made for some interesting, and sometimes difficult canoeing, especially for beginners. Staff was helpful in dropping us off and... More

My daughter and I had a great trip in the Boundary Waters with the help of the staff at Voyageur. Their recommendations on possible routes, equipment and knowledge of the Boundary Waters was excellent.. Based on their recommendations we encountered 8 Bald Eagles, Loons of course and the route was scenic from start to finish. Cannot say enough on the... More

The staff here are excellent. They looked after us really well, and went above and beyond to make sure we had a good time. They familiarised us with the equipment and suggested routes and campsites for the trip. However, the equipment and food were lacking. The food was not good. I am used to hiking trips, so I don't have... More

Voyageur Canoe Outfitters, near the end of the Gunflint Trail on Lake Saganaga, is a great place to get all your equipment for your trip. They are located right on Lake Saganaga and Seagull Lake and they provide super service. Further, they are very personable, helpful and relaxed, especially dealing with campers like me who might be a little worried... More

My new wife and I went up to the Boundary Waters after our wedding in late September. From the initial contract to make reservations through the end of our voyage, the team at Voyageur was extremely organized, helpful, pleasant, and full of excellent suggestions. The co-owner, Mike, tended to us himself and recommended some wonderful sections on the map in... More
