No Hanging Gardens!
Oct 2021
This trail was a huge disappointment as the drought has affected the "hanging gardens" - they don't exist! Don't bother with this hike unless there's been more rain!

Nice morning walk with beautiful views!
Sep 2021
This was a great little morning walk before we needed to check out of our rental. Easy path with sand and a few rocks. Parking for a few cars.

Interesting site for short walk
Aug 2021
Quick easy walk on sandstone leading to a opening with an overhang with moss plants growing on the wall. Amazing site in the desert.

Short hike
Aug 2021
If you have some free time and want to enjoy a short hike (takes about an hour) then this is worth doing. I did not think the view of the area was anything special and the view of the ferns at the end was slightly anti-climactic. Much better trails at the Grand Canyon, Yellowstone and Zion. This trail is mostly out in the open. Bring water.

Easy hike
Jul 2021
This was a nice easy hike to unique area. Mostly flat with variety of terrain (rock and sand). Parking is a bit odd as just in middle of the sand. But super cool hike.

Short easy hike with cool ending
Apr 2021
Short well marked trail about 20 minutes each way. Mostly flat. The end is cool in 2 ways first just seeing the wet ferns at the end second on a hot day in the desert under the rocks by the ferns it is refreshingly cool.
That being said bring water the trail is hot. Also your going across a lot of slip rock which is fine but not on a rainy day

Wow, maiden hair ferns in this environment.
Sep 2020
This trail head was close to our hotel so we took the walk. The trail was very easy and it was a quick walk to see this little spot with lovely ferns and very cool air.

Nice hike
Oct 2020
This is a shorter hike with great opportunities for pictures. The garden area is shaded & a nice place to take a book or lunch & enjoy. I have 2 hip replacements & an ACL replacement. I did ok, did have to come down on my butt in one spot. There were a couple of women in their 70's, we helped one up & the other opted not to finish but they also had on flip flops!! Be sure to wear good tennis shoes or better yet hiking shoes. Very peaceful and wasn't crowded.

Hot, but worth the trip
Jul 2020
Take plenty of water as this is a hot trail with no shade until you get to the hanging garden. But the destination was worth it.

A fun and easy hike
Mar 2020
The hike is pretty quick and isn't rigorous, although there is some moderate-intensity rock scaling at the very end. The "gardens" themselves are somewhat underwhelming, but there are several nice views of the surrounding area from the trail, including the Glen Canyon Dam area. The trail is in good condition and is very close to Page. It's a great (and free) way to spend an hour or two of time without committing to a long or rigorous hike.
