Description:

Colorado River Discovery offers the most fantastic one day rafting trips...

Colorado River Discovery offers the most fantastic one day rafting trips anywhere on the mighty Colorado River. We provide half-day and full day tours that are perfect for the entire family (kids aged 4 and up). Departing from the scenic town of Page, Arizona, your trip will begin with an exciting and exclusive ride down the two-mile long Glen Canyon Dam access tunnel. At river level, with the dam soaring 700 feet above you, you will board a comfortable pontoon raft for your journey downstream. While on the River, you will experience one of the most dramatic stretches of river in the western United States. Your experienced guide will tell the story of the area’s soaring sandstone cliffs, crystal blue-green waters, abundant wildlife, exploration by Major John Wesley Powell and others, and the river's modern role in the Southwest’s water and power delivery system.A stop to view an impressive set of ancient petroglyphs will offer a you chance to stretch your legs and enjoy your lunch while bearing witness to the area’s former inhabitance by ancient native cultures. If you choose, you may also refresh yourself by wading in the cold, clear river. Come and visit the river that we love... You'll be inspired!

This was a great experience!! Our 2 kids (4 and 10) as well as the adults loved it! It was hot -- so hot my camera on my phone refused to take pics at one point -- but an incredible, beautiful and relaxing experience. Our guide was great -- can't remember his name, but he is a local 4th grade... More

A very organized operation from signing in, getting on the bus, taking the trip down the river and getting back for the return trip to your car. It was a very enjoyable afternoon. The sights were great. Our guide was knowledgeable. He taught us about the area and was even able to pick our Big Horned Sheep for us to... More

Colorado River Discovery gave an amazing tour to and back from Horseshoe Bend. Our family of four had a great time seeing the majestic scenery, desert big horn sheep, and many blue heron. Our guide, Nicholas, told us of history, stories, and made the whole boat erupt in laughter many times. His Hopi heritage rendered a genuine and wonderful trip.... More

We took the full day motor trip with Jerod as our guide. He was very engaging and knowledgeable about the river and surrounding landscape. The box lunches were good - a lot of food! The river was very cold - he said 46 degrees- and it felt that cold when we waded in. A great way to spend a relaxing... More

We took the afternoon rafting trip with a group of 13 people. We were all able to get on the same raft, and the trip was amazing. Our tour guide, Nicholas, was friendly, funny, and caring. He let us spend extra time on the river, and the kids had a ton of fun. Overall, I'd recommend this trip to absolutely... More

Laid back raft ride. Awesome Canyon views with a great tour guide that kept us informed of all areas of the canyon to include great advise on area sites in Page, AZ. Guide was 19 year old native of Page, named Isac, so he knew the area well since he grew up there. He was not only knowledgeable, but also... More

Was one of our highlights of our trip. Family of six with everyone having a wonderful time. Clean, organized, beautiful scenery, great tour guide, wonderful lunch (we purchased) from River's Edge and wonderful to swim in the Colorado River and see the canyon's beauty from the river view. Highly recommend!

Previously I had been here as a teenager with my own parents, Not sure it is the same company. My seven-year-old daughter and I loved the trip. Brent was our guide this time and did a great job driving us around, explaining everything and seemed to really enjoy his job. Entertaining and helpful, offered to take pictures of us at... More

The trip starts in Page, then you travel down a long tunnel to the base of the dam. Very interesting journey. At the base of dam you board a 13 person ratty and float/ power motor down Colorado River. No rapids. The journey is long and after a while repetitious. It is worth the trip for being on the river... Great half day out. Super efficiently organised. Very fun and informative guide. You can bring your own snacks or light lunch with you to save a bit of cash. Good facilities at base if you want to get on swimming gear. Highly recommended.
