Colorado River Discovery offers the most fantastic one day rafting trips...

Colorado River Discovery offers the most fantastic one day rafting trips anywhere on the mighty Colorado River. We provide half-day and full day tours that are perfect for the entire family (kids aged 4 and up). Departing from the scenic town of Page, Arizona, your trip will begin with an exciting and exclusive ride down the two-mile long Glen Canyon Dam access tunnel. At river level, with the dam soaring 700 feet above you, you will board a comfortable pontoon raft for your journey downstream. While on the River, you will experience one of the most dramatic stretches of river in the western United States. Your experienced guide will tell the story of the area’s soaring sandstone cliffs, crystal blue-green waters, abundant wildlife, exploration by Major John Wesley Powell and others, and the river's modern role in the Southwest’s water and power delivery system.A stop to view an impressive set of ancient petroglyphs will offer a you chance to stretch your legs and enjoy your lunch while bearing witness to the area’s former inhabitance by ancient native cultures. If you choose, you may also refresh yourself by wading in the cold, clear river. Come and visit the river that we love... You'll be inspired!

The logistics behind signing in at the base shop are a bit "messy" but ultimately everyone gets on-board the bus for transport to the river bank. You can't go to the river direct as embarkation is close to a government facility and hence no parking. This isn't a problem! The trip itself is great - very relaxing. The water is... More

Reserved our trip via the internet. Upon Arrival Large Signs saying 'sign in here' indicated we should sign in on the patio. No one was there to do the sign in. Later, after entering, they were happy to do sign in and said they don't do 'outside' anymore (Hint: remove the signs) Meal had been ordered but was not available.... More

On the suggestion of our AirBnb host we booked the full day trip by motorboat. Do not expect a wild water rafting trip. This is a gentle float down the Colorado river, Horseshoe bend and up to Lee's Ferry. We had a great day and without a doubt it was made better by our river guide Brad. He has been... More

This is a very nice river ride down part of the Colorado in to Glen Canyon. It is not scary at all and is a smooth ride all around. A lunch is provided and water and lemonade and bathroom stops. It was gorgeous scenery and so quiet. Our guide was an adorable young woman named Holly. She was very confident,... More

A great way to spend a sunny afternoon in Page. Friendly staff and excellent Tour Guide. We took the 4 hour afternoon trip along to Horseshoe Bend and back and thoroughly enjoyed the experience. Works for young and old.

We really enjoyed the full day trip from Glen Canyon dam to Lee's Ferry. Our captin/tour guide was great and the water was flat. I'd go again.

We had been on this rafting trip several years ago and had such a great experience we wanted to do it again with friends. Online booking was fast and easy. The check in process was hectic but good. The bus ride down to the base of Glen Canyon Dam takes you through a long descending tunnel from the top of... More

We had a warm, sunny day for our ride. The ride down to the river took us the a tunnel carved thru the mountain. Our group boarded three pontoon boats and started our ride thru 1000' cliffs. Our guide was okay...I think he will be better as he gains experience. Although he had the facts about the area he lacked... More

Had an excellent time on this rafting ride. Martin was our guide and he was very knowledgeable and had a great since of humor. The scenery was beautiful. The only thing I did not like was that they gave us our meals in a plastic bag around 9:30 in the morning and we did not have any place to keep... More

Float base is under the shadow of Glen Canyon dam accessed by a long narrow two mile high security controlled tunnel that was used originally in the 1960's to deliver the turbines and other equipment to the generating area of the dam 700 ft below the bridge and dam parapet! Floats boats consisted of four inflatable hulls bolted together and... More
