We had a wonderful time fishing Lake Powell with Bill! We caught tons of large "land locked" Stripper (we didn't even know that existed!) and a few other species including small mouth bass. Expect to get out on the water early to beat the worst of the heat in the summer months, I think we were leaving the marina by 520am. Bill knows the Lake well and took us sight seeing when switching locations or taking a break from fishing. I braved a swim but, WOW, that water was cold! The air temp was probably around 105 and the water around 65! It was a shock to the system but worth it :) Bill was great with my 9 year old as well, which can be a challenge keeping little ones occupied for an 8 hour trip. There's even a floating bathroom on the Lake if needed. I was so sad to see the drought devastation of Lake Powell but so glad we were able to experience the beauty it still has today. Thanks Bill!

My son and I fished with Capt. Bill last week while in Lake Powell. Such a great experience, beautiful views, and a fun time. Capt. Bill was very knowledgeable, experienced, and he even kindly encouraged my son and I's competition to catch the most fish, (my beat me, no question). I would highly recommend Ambassador Guides and Capt. Bill. To add to the experience, when coordinating with his wife Judy, she was great in getting us set up, but went above and beyond to help us out while in Page, AZ. The day before the guide, we had our Antelope Canyon tour cancelled and she was able to last minute get us hooked up with another tour for same price, AND that tour was AMAZING! So thank you both, Capt. Bill and Judy- you guys were great and really made our stay in Lake Powell adventurous.

My son wanted to go deep sea fishing for his 18th birthday. While that was never a realistic option, I looked for options closer to home, Colorado. I had heard of great fishing at lake Powell, but never new when or where to go. After some internet research and a talk with Judy at Ambassador, I knew we were headed to Page, Arizona. My son was after both quantity and quality of fish, Captain Bill delivered both! In a half day we caught upwards of 30 Strippers, many pushing 5 pounds. My son was in heaven! Once the bite started we kept at it until it’s was time to call it. Never went more than 5 minutes without action. Nothing better than my son grinning ear to ear! To my shock, Bill offered me a fly rod to catch the Stippers coming up from the depths. Now I can’t stop grinning. taking a 5 pound Stippers hit on a fly was incredible! Best fishing trip for me in years. Can’t wait to come back for the surface action in the fall. Thanks again Bill and Judy, you exceeded our expectations! Ed and Ryan

We had a wonderful 2 day fishing charter with Captain Bill! Fishing is really not my go to activity, I initially just went to be with “my boys”. However, Bill made the fishing so enjoyable and so successful with his professional expertise, friendly constant attention to detail and every need that the 5 of us all felt we had one on one attention all day long, both days. I highly recommend Bill for a family or friends trip, even if fishing isn’t first on your list for fun, you will come away surprised, and totally pleased, ready to go back for more!
